In this wonderful mission, on the second level there is a huge pair of drone structures...
My question to you all is this:
How often have you been shot through the acceleration gate and wedged into these structures?
I have on two seperate occasions. At which point I bounce around and flop all over the place like a fish out of water.

Every single time I've done the mission 
So, when I get the mission, I prompty take a couple Gravol and brace for the ride into the 2nd Stage....on a more serious note, I have no issues with the aggro as tough as it is. My beef would be with the fact that you indeed land in what seems a cave with no quick way to escape...without an uber tank...forget it.

If they aggro you and you get stuck - even with an uber tank you die.
It's poorly designed.
The consequences of death are harsh in EVE and it's a shame that your living or dieing is decided by how far you bounce off a giant ball of snot.

You can destroy the strustures without aggroing anything ... I suggest that is the first thing you do durng the mission.
4 SDPs is a nice refine, I've done this mission in both a Munnin and a Tempest with no real problems.

Was that before or after the patch?
When I used my example above, I was just bouncing around and they started attacking. This is before the patch.

I allways end up in the hole in stucture :)
np realy. I just make sure to zoom in close and take direction out of the hole same way i came in, and then align for exit gate.
Just not use drones before i am well clear of structure.
I use scorp for the small drone rats, and raven for supreme ones

This mission, and Rouge Drone for that matter, can be done by sending a small fast ship (slahser, inty, etc.) in to the second gate first - and let it draw away the ganking group from the warp-in beacon. Then just switch ships, come in, and take the drones out easily at range. Supremes can't touch you at 75km.

Actually change the way you activate the gate. I've done this and I can get away from hitting the hole most of the time. Don't sit right inside the gate and activate it, sit over to the left or right of the gate and then activate. It's worked well for me.

The warp in point on the second level of this mission is crazy, especially if you have friends with you its like getting stuck in a pinball machine.
The easy solution is just move the beacon on level 2 10 - 20 km further out.
Sometimes you will arrive and nothing will aggro other times you get owned in about 30 seconds even with a uber tank. Then if you are really lucky and go with a friend the tank gets in with no aggro and your friend gets wasted.
I tend to decline this mission now unless I really need the minerals.

I do this one fairly easily in a megathron...when I warp to the 2nd stage I usually don't get aggro...but if I do I warp out immediately, usually get in the 2nd try without aggro. What Kevrad said may have something to do with it, as I approach the Accel Gate differently...
I like to leave the drone structures there as the SDP's tend to get stuck in them....makes them very easy to kill. o.0
