Bulzor, you may want to provide a better case for the obvious side you are taking in this 'debate'. How exactly are they destroying the game? IMO, they give it life. Much of the pvp in eve comes from alliance warfare, and alliances/0.0 corps constantly killing each other are the main thing that keeps tech 2 ships in demand.
There's also the fact that approximately 90% of the people that regularly post on these forums (corporation and ALLIANCE discussion, hint hint) are either in alliances or affiliated with them.
Yes, i am an alt of a char that is in an alliance, and yes, this thread is going to get flamed to hell.

Eh, flaming may be fun but it's also bad for the community. Starts other people (people normally calm) going.

All right, this has gone far enough.
As several other players have insinuated...
Lemme guess. Either you flew into some alliance's space, didn't respond to convos and warnings, and were eventually blown up. Or...
You joined an alliance corp, and then were booted and KOS'ed for either being a total jerk or doing some obviously forbidden activity, like hogging all the complexes or stealing from your corp hangar.
Incurable jerks make me angry.

If your not read the packaging next time you buy a game. Alliances, politics, wars etc are what sets Eve aside from the rest of the clones out there.
If you think its dull and boring just leave the game and go buy somthing that makes you happy (so tempted to add some ideas here but I'll restrain myself).
Now put the keyboard down and step away from the computer.

About ALLAINCES - no comments...... there can only be one ALLAINCE
About Alliances:
To be honest I think the alliances have given this game its soul - in what other game could you enter some neutral faction/guild territory, not been able to leave due to a gank squad, been met by a diplomatic point of contact, and escorted out.
Ok - most places would have shot me to hell - or at least hunted for me - but a DEDICATED diplomat met me and escorted me out - kind of like a customs offical.....
The whole thing to me - and the civilness of it resembles that of advanced nations - not of some online game.
Go back to some pure PVP game m8 if you don't like it........ I personaly do - tho some don't care about politics and maneuvering, millitary and industry - I and many others do. It makes this game unique and very realistic.

this game would suck without alliances, alot of you nubs complain about 0.0 being locked up by alliances, ok take all organized allinaces out of the game, what you left with? chaos in 0.0 and you still won't be able to get in.
