I posted earlier about a good Mining setup for my Vexor and thanks to the people who replied.
Now, let say I want to tackle in level I and eventually level II missions, what would be a good setup for my Vexor (or a Thorax, I'm like one level away from it anyway) that would offer me good bang for the bucks. I want to plan my skill learning accordingly.

vexor has a drone bonus so u need to use it.

Power Diagnostic System. It used to be called a Power Diagnostic UNIT, but that got changed soon after release. The old guys still call it a PDU though. 
For the record, I've always been a bigger fan of the Thorax than the Vexor for various reasons, but to each his own. The Vexor can be quite powerful in capable hands.

Vexor setup for newer players:
the largest small railguns you can fit in the highs with a remote armour repairer (small) if you have the skill, to repair your drones while in space, or a nos in the fifth slot
mids
1 x ab
1 x cap recharger
1 x tracking pc - otherwise another cap recharger or whatever takes your fancy; cap battery etc
Lows
1 x largest armour plate you can fit
2 x hardners (passive better for no cap usage) <- could drop one of these at a pinch for a Cap Power Relay module for extra cap recharge
1 x Armour rep medium preferably
Your damage output is primarily from drones. Good drone skills and gall cruiser levels will help a lot. The vexor is also a somewhat cheaper ship to replace over a thorax if you were to lose one.
