Did anyone notice anything when they updated to dx 9.0b
Anything better or worse?
I havenÆt had the chance yet to test it out, but I assume that it should be fixing bugs etc and was wondering if the DevÆs looked into this? Esp if there might be any problems?
Solutions or benefits are always welcome
btw sorry if this is old a bit, i didnt see any topics about this yet.
Been playing Eve too much

Drutort,
I have no idea if it's an improvement but for some reason the colours in Eve got more rich and vibrant when I installed the latest DX9 release.
I've noticed a slight improvement in FPS though.

Edited by: Drake Ramirez on 27/07/2003 11:26:52 I've installed it and haven't seen any changes as yet, but atleast it hasn't screwed EVE up
Josh what film or programme is that animated gif from?

Edited by: SkyScourge on 27/07/2003 15:22:31 Hmm...well. I don't know if it is DirectX related or not .. but since some days ago I am seeing strange things in EVE. Like when you fire a rocket and you see the flames. After the rocket is long gone, exploded and all, you will still see the exhaust flames flickering on screen. Like it didn't get deleted out of the graphics buffer or something. Also the same thing happened with the exhaust flames coming out of NPC ships. It could be DX9b for all I know, cause I installed a few days ago. And I didn't have that problem before. Knowledge is power ! |

well it would help that people know exactly if it was dx 9b or not, because this would help the devs out a bit with some problems, and im sure there might be some... who knows there might be a few things that got fixed because of dx 9b i know that some people with there ati cards have some graphics problems from time to time.
i wonder what the devs have to say about dx9.0b support Idea: QuickInfo an alternative to ShowInfo
