Just generating interest at the moment.
Heres how it will work.
-All contestants Start at the same Station.
-They will start with 1 Bookmark Given to them by organiser.
-They must then head Fullsteam to the Bookmarked system.
-Then They must Scan for a cargo container. The container will not be at a Safe spot, It will be at a large object, (Planet, moon, Station, Derelict, Roid belt etc....)
-The contents of this container is the bookmark for
Next System.
-This process will continue untill they reach The final destination.
-Each container will container enough Bookmarks to cover all contestants.
Upon reaching the Final Destination The winner will be decided on the speed at which they arived there.
There will be a flat rate Entrance Fee of 5 million Per Entrant.
Eveng Organiser will retain small fee for setting it up,
But I'm looking at around 50% winnings to 1st place 25% 2nd Place 15% to third place.
Would anyone be interested ?

but I predict at least one person taking all the bookmarks from a can and dropping in some other ones.

Yeah I thought about having marshalls on cans to prevent that.

A good idea that I'm interested in. You might want to reduce the entry fee though, it's too big for new(ish) players like myself. Perhaps have two race classes with different fees?
You will need marshalls to keep an eye on those BMs too or someone will steal them all.

You could prevent the BM's bein stolen by having a can for each contestant there, and their own password (given by u) so they can only get into their own container each time.
My corp would be happy to help you out with the set up and backing.

yah, slight problem there, maybe you could have players giving out the book marks, or have secure cans for every player?

Well you can have 1 can and a marshall next to it and drop the bm in when a racer gets close, save on buying all the m cans :)

And, of course, you can rest assured that they will direct all race contestants into the nearest low sec or 0.0 system from the starting point.
Where the race organizers will have their gank fleet ready with a large warp bubble on several gates heading into the pickup system. If the racers are lucky they'll just be forced to eject from their shiny T2 speed machines, if they're not so lucky they'll wake up in a station.
