I am nowhere near qualified to teach frigate warfare, so only as a train of thought... Isn't the Succubus a bit expensive for a close up frigate brawl? With T2 rigs none the less? From where I am standing I would have guessed kiting with beams? With som usable GTFO ability?

The main problem of the Succubus is that it is so damn slow. Which means that the next Condor which will appear on grid will just damp or tracking disrupt you and finally will kite you to death once you run out of cap boster charges. |

Educate me, please.
Aurora doesn't apply enough damage to matter, and the Succubus is one of the slower frigates (being Amarr.) A Condor could tackle it and give it a very hard time if it has beam lasers fitted.
I am not sure the damage profile for beams really is functional for high DPS minimum time engagements. I want to get in, blow something up under tackle and get out fast. Sure it's not ideal because there are always faster ships but hopefully it can make a good support.
Might be a great partner with a webbing Condor, actually.

I would second this. CCP Fozzie is now on navy frigates so there is a good chance for pirate faction frigates getting balance pass in the summer expansion. |
