Hiya all. As the topic suggests Old player returning and totaly lost as per skills etc. Is it possible for a more experianced player to check out my SP and give me some tips on where to train. Doesnt matter if i need a few months to get skills up but just need some pointers.
Im looking to get into fleet combat (never done it before) and run missions with a bit of mining for chilling.
Thank you in advance (i believe i have updated my character on the eveboard website)

Not really. A character with 50mil SP can be crap at jobs that a character with 10mil of focussed training will excel at.
A better starting point is what your goal in EVE is at the moment. Then look st the skills required to do that well and the gap between that and what you have. |

Depends what you want to do really as to what skills you should be training up. As for combat skills, then that quite a long list, we could be here all day.
I would give you some advice but as you say you are an advanced player returning then the generic advice will be of little use.
Sounds like your lazy and just want someone to work out your skill training plan for you to me. |

Since you already have a good mix of cross trained races in your spaceship command category, I'd give you the advice to train for the upcoming ship skill changes. On the bottom part of that blog, it is explained in detail. The short version is: Train all racial cruisers and frigates to 3; train battlecruisers (you have this already on 5) and destroyers to 5. Then you'll get an additional 6.2 m SP this summer and you don't have to care for these skills later.
Other than that: Don't care so much for SP. Decide what you want to train for and train it. You cannot train everything, so you'll have to specialize. Maybe get +4 implants, if you can afford them. But skip the implants if you want to do pvp. Maybe train navigation skills up (as you do), because they help in almost all professions in EVE.
Really, just train what you need and what fits your gameplay. |
