forget about #eve-online, most of the ops there are, sadly, power-hungry kids that just kick-ban ppl who arent licking their ass or idling 
personnaly ive been kickbanned over a month ago for saying spawnsath was a moron because he was whoring factory/lab/office slots to make the life of other ppl near him harder (read impossible for newbies)

I had a look at stratics eve site... and the forum posters are a lot more positive than you bunch of sour faced expletive spitting dung-hurlers l can tell you that much.

Contact whoever banned you in IRC, else try cairnz,molle, or one of the other ops that happens to be online and talk to them, and yes I am online alot aswell so just send a message.
Else you can contact Pann but that will prolly take a little longer cause she does get hundreds of emails per day ..
