As the topic says, it's impossible to kick out members holding shares.

That makes sense, members with share OWN part of the corp.

It does NOT make sense. Supposedly eventually there will be stock trading. Does that mean that all you have to do to make yourself "unkickable" is to buy one share?

How can you kick out a board member of a corp unless you make a deal with him and buy out his shares?

You cant kick out someone who has shares, but the user cant give away the shares either.
So basicly the person is STUCK. even if he wants to leave the GMs wont do anything :( -------- Caillech Director of Sexual Healing

I would have thought it ought to be possible for non-corpmembers to buy shares in a corporation, when the stockmarket gets implemented.
I mean, in real life, stock traders aren't employees of all the companies they hold stock in, are they? No.
I don't have a clue why it is that holding shares means one cannot be kicked from the corporation in Eve; to me, the logic of that is broken.

yeah, small share holders are nothing to corp, however, many corp in eve never changed the share ammount. so 10 shares holder out of 1000 shares total is a board member for sure, so you can not get him out of his position.

It's been my experience, that after promoting someone to Director status and giving them a good portion of shares, expelling is no longer an option. At that point I gave the person the option to quit, or they could stick around and be voted out.
My current problem has been that since two patches ago (was that 1113?), I haven't been able to distribute any shares to the deserving members of our corp. This seemed to have happened about the same time that the security levels we added into the role assignments. __________________________________________________

Can't your CEO propose a shareholder vote to rid the corp. of the unwanted member? I thought that was how it was supposed to work with sharholders, anyway. --------------=o0O+O0o=-------------- CEO, Grand Pasha and Mighty One Hazara Khan's Haphazard Bazaar The Finest Camels in all EVE! They can be voted out.
