Depends what u are using it for tbh.
Highs are pretty much a certainty as 8 x 125 rails. After that your mid slot choice is dictated by your role, pve or pvp.
My lows consist or an armour rep and a plate if i recall. Been a while since i flew one. Loving the Coercer and Thrasher now.

Just my opinion: if you are pve-ing with it try even as many 150s as you can and fill the rest with 75s perhaps. In pve range is the name of the game (I assume you char is not uber skilled). Use lead or even iridium - tungsteen ammo and so long as you have AB to control range you'll pown all serps. Use 150s(4?) at range and who ever closes the gap can taste your 75s :) Be carefull with mercenaries as after missle patch they have ridiculous range (even in lvl1 missions I am told) and so yoou will need some sort of tank :)

The general trend of hybrid ammo (like most ammo) is that the longer the range, the less damage it does. Many prefer Anitmatter since it does the most damage. It will cut your guns' ranges in half, though. However, since you are in a destroyer which is most often slower than your enemy, you should go with a longer range.
Small Hybrid Ammo
I would suggest Uranium or Plutonium for the longer range, but it's up to you. For best results, take a mix to be on the safe side. ---------- Vaux CEO, Red Frog Investments |

couple named nutron and ion blasters as grid allows and your cat turns nice and deadly. its a good test of pilot skills to stay alive. 8} but you can easily kill cruisers with it. just have to be careful with the 5 to 6 frig spawns.
lows = nano fibers and armor rep 2, lows = energy mods

8 125mm scout or better rails. Weapon upgrade, shield booster, shield extender, powergrid unit, and possibly some speed upgrades.
You might be able to squeeze all that in, I foregone the speed upgrades, but in lvl1 missions, you'll be going throw frigates soo fast in this you'll need to be able to zip around the level.
Dont put blasters on this ship, its silly, with the rails you'll be able to touch out to 14km (just use lead) and when all 8 rails fire you'll insta kill any and all frigates within range...still oustide their own.
I've been reccomending corp mates buy one for the sole reason of catching up on missions. They're amazing for what they're made for, and that's frigate killing, but they're useless against cruisers and lvl2 missions.

They can take at least low-end cruiser spawns (~40-50k) alright, I use Iron on mine, and the optimal range is out to 18/19 km, which means I can usually get 2-3 volleys in before an NPC frigate gets in range. The only issues I've ever run into are missions against mercenaries. 4 missile boats = 3-missile volley death. First volley took me to 60% armor. Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the oth |

There is a lvl2 Mission with 3 CRU and a some frigs. I had to warp out once but that was befor the missile nerf. I never had problems with any other missions.
Destroyers are nice ships _if_ you got a lot skills at lvl5. -- $ perl -n -e 'print "Stop blameing pirates! Oveur is the root of all evil!\n" if m/podkill|lost my ship|gank|gate camp|Verone/;'

Edited by: Chrysantheum on 13/09/2005 18:59:35 Definitely nice ships. I suggest 75mm rails or neutron/ion blasters. armor tank and whatever else you want but make sure you have a nice AB in meds at the least. Only time I've lost one in PVE was doing a mission vs CONCORD. (Concord cruisers backed by CONCORD Piranha frigates hurt )
ps they also have one of the nicest looks ingame (love the paint texture and scheme + the radar spinny thingy) |

if it fits, i'd take:
8 125mms rails
1mn Afterburner (t2) cap battery/recharger (depending on fitting/bonus)
armor repper (small t2) passive explo hardener t2 damage mod

My current general purpose setup for missions and the like isą.
Hi X7 named 125mm rail guns (canĘt seem to get 8 working at once with my crappy skillz ) X1 micro smartbomb
Mid X1 1MN Afterburner X1 Target Painter
Lows X2 50mm Steel plates thingys X1 Small armour repper
Seems to work great for level2 missions and would probably do OK in PVP although IĘve not tested it yet
