The leading body of Hadean Drive Yards, the Executive Division, wishes to make public the following information for disclosure:
1. The Corporation known as Hadean Drive Yards, due to issues directly involving majority share ownership of said entity, is taking preemptive measures to stabilize and ensure its continued future.
2. To do so, all support material, as well as Production and Research capabilities with-in Hadean Drive Yards have been transferred to Phoenix Propulsion Labs.
3. From this day forward, all repeat business requirements and contracts outstanding with Hadean Drive Yards will be honored by Phoenix Propulsion Labs.
It is with deep regret that the organization named Hadean Drive Yards, a corporation of a long standing history and honor, must be abandoned; however, the potential instability looming from the current majority stock owner of the corporation causes a very severe concern for its future. This step is taken to preserve the organization itself and the member base with-in. You will have to ask yourselves, is it the name or the pilots who make the corporation what it isā
A Quote from our CEO, Badger:
"Our old customers will recognize the same warm atmosphere and friendly service the second they walk through the door. New customers will find the experience just as rewarding"
Remember, Phoenix Propulsion Labs, a step aboveā

There are statements outstanding that the supposed production and research assets taken from HDY were removed in an illegal act of espionage. Is this true?

This amounts to a corporate name change, nothing more. Any allegations of theft, espionage, etc. are nothing more than fiction. |

Can you give us a more detailed explanation of the events and circumstances that led to the corporate name change and the end of HDY please? Please understand that I've got a lot of respect for the HDY name with Overkill as frontman and I'd like to be honestly informed before making decisions on this matter.
Thank you.

Jasmine, I appreciate your candor and wanting to know the details. Please contact me in-game anytime you want.
There is a long history and I remember the "help" that was given back in the Venal days. Trust me in that this action was not done with any maliciousness what so ever.

I would avoid this new corp like the plague. I was in HDY a while back and Overkill was always above board.
Seems to me these scum looted the corp to make a new one.
Say no to Phoenix Propulsion Labs.

Seem that the same thing that happened to m3g4 happened here. The memberbase and CEO didn't agree, and the directors ripped the corp and formed a new corp with almost all members joining.
(though of course, no other similiarity between HDY and m3g4, heh)

We'd ask that before you express opinions such as this you at least attempt to hear both sides of the story. This decision was not made lightly, nor do we "celebrate" or "revel" in what we had to do.

Actually this is not like it at all, the "CEO" and the memberbase are forming the new corp due to the fact that a single member had controlling interests that was threatening the rest of the corp.

Overkill as a single member wanted to take the corp in a direction that nobody else wanted to go. So how does that make them scum when the majority is potentially being forced by a single member to do something they don't want to do. |

well, we obviously heard Overkills side, and haven't officially heard from Badgers, imo if you want the community to have confidence in purchasing from you I think an announcment as to what really happened should be made. Not this... oh send us an evemail ingame. Of course everyone has the right to purchase from whomever, but its the image that counts, no?

Edited by: Bandus on 13/09/2005 18:03:57 To post all of the events would have the potential to degrade former HDY employee's images. This is something that we will NOT do in public. Thus, any further information requests need to be directed to Badger.
Community image is definetly important, but not at the cost of reputations of respected members of the EVE community.

Well said Bandus. Both Badger and Overkill on his part said as much as could be said IMO. Both parties treated the other with the respect that their long relationship demands despite their irreconcilable differences with regards to business matters. So to degrade this discussion to the level of gossip would really not be appropariate. PPLs image benefits precisely because it acted with class.

I am the former MIL XO of HDY.
I know some of you, especially those in FIX, our former Alliance and in our eyes, friends, think that this amounts to nothing more than a corporate theft. Seeing it from a third party view, I can see how it may look to be that. But sufficied to say, there is more than what you know and more than will be released on a public forum as this.
The former Exec staff of Hadean Drive Yards had a decision to make. The decision we made was to save the BEST of HDY, its reputation of honesty and integrity and save ALL of it's members, of which, HDY would not have been the player in Eve that it was.
Yes, we did so behind closed door. But we did so unanimously, with one thing on our minds; Every single person that made up the corp. We did not do this for ourselves. We will be making ALL posts and communications open to our memberbase that so wish to see them. We did not "take the money and run". We gave all members of HDY an open choice to make the transition with us and gave them all the resources we had as to why this has happened.
We live for the team and the people that once made up HDY and now make up Phoenix Propulsion Laboratories. And judging by the people rejoining the new corp, I can assuredly say that they understand what has transpired. And if they feel the same as I, and the rest of the people that have helped this happen, then they also came back for the friendship and respect that ALL of us have had for each other. Old players and new.
Sincerely, Deadzone

Ristonhawk/Scythmar holds a personal grudge against several members of HDY/PPL. He's already made threats of war declaration in-game. He's only trying to stir up trouble to get his jollies off.

Several? Nope. Just Badger.
He once accused me of stealing an absurd amount of ore from an op (way more than we even mined), merely because I kicked him from the mining gang. He had at that point not even mined any ore with us. He then violated Delve Protectorate laws by firing on my corpmate. He has little honor, and tbh, I don't like him. Given the chance I will do my best to make his eve career difficult, as he once did to me.

It seems you are not up with the facts. I didn't say he stole anything...in fact, I think just the opposite. I said that he is being accused of it. Personally, I don't think he did anything wrong as far as that goes.

Weren't you the one who said I was the ignorant one? It isn't that it was over ore. It's that it caused a lot of problems with the Delve Protectorate and friends my corporation had in the area. In the end, I just don't like him. Is that ok with you? You call me ignorant, but you clearly have no idea wtf I'm talking about. So pls, STFU.

The corp thieves could of easily bought out Overkills shares. I'm sure he would of been fine with that.
Instead they sneak behind his back and those members who didn't wish to join Badger and steal everything.
I wouldn't buy from a corp founded on theft and deceit.
