Are there plans a-foot to sort out the office space in EVE ?
The situation atm is intolerable even for established corp, and downright impossible for new ones.
I do hope something is done - maybe on the lines of the factory/research slot solution

Well gee, my corp was set up the second day of retail so we had no problem finding offices.
Yar.
Problem is, we have more offices than we need but with the current structure on renting we can't cancel the rent but instead have to wait a month before the bill comes up and choose not to pay it to free up more office space. I really hope they double the amount of office space (or more... just do something). Hopefully CCP has a creative and useful solution up their sleeves.

In the beginning, our corp figured we would need offices everywhere so we rented about 40 of them total. Today, we really only use about 5-6 of them on a regular basis. Would be nice to cancel some.

Our corp was made 3 hours after start of retail - we set up in a nice little Ark system and set to work.
The problem is that CCP kept changing the goal posts.
They moved out all the ark and our plans were in peices.
Unless new office space is created or old office space is freed up new corps just will never be able to get going, and anything which restricts new players access to all aspects of the game is bad for CCP.

I bet there's so many offices out there rented by corps that probably don't even exist anymore.

The first few people to put up player run stations with offices for rent are going to make a killing. Hell, the first hundred!!

Office space in Abaim, Romi, Sayartchen and surrounding systems. Loads of it.

While looking for office space a while back I would find lets say 9 stations in a system and 2-3 corps who had an office in every single station.. these corps also had an office in every single station in all surrouding systems...

Devoid and the Bleak Lands still have space available, also Angel Cartel space has a lot of offices open to.

There is office space in Devoid, trust me. :)
I do wish you had the option to cancell office rent though, a little pop up or the option at renewal time would be great.

The problem I've been having is finding office space that's
1) Has Factories
2) Has Labs
3) Is in high sec space.
Not that I particularly mind low sec space but I have to consider new members and their survivability when travelling alone

I set up some (3) offices when I started my little Corp. But now I only use one as my personal organized hangar.
Though I'm due rent on two of them I see no option how to cancel the bloody things... want to free them up so others can use them as I'm not having any use for them.

An option to cancel office rental has just been put in the game, at least according to patch notes for build 1136.
