I have a 9.3 security standing. So, how many people do I have to podkill out in 0.0 space to make my sec rating go negative? This is idle curiosity since I'm stuck in my station right now and have nothing else to do.

... In this case you can simply go out, pod someone and find out first-hand?.. :s
If you do, please share the info; with all the security system changes all the time one can never tell for sure....
edit: sorry, didn't realize you meant 'stuck' literally...

When I say 'stuck in the station' I mean STUCK. I unfortunately live in the station in mn5n-x that is stuck atm, so I cannot leave.

That one is easy, you don't loose sec for killing in 0.0. I spanked a few just yesterday and my sec rating is actually getting better. I can go into high sec space again. Even 0.8 systems. (tasty juicy shuttles and indies.)
I see a rapid drop in my sec rating, in the near future! :)

But he's asking about pod killing, and i'd swear someone was complaining about taking security hit for doing exactly that in 0.0 space, just recently.... *shrugs*

Mine's 0.4 and it stinks, getteing 00000.02 for npc pirate kills is a joke

0.02 sec increase for killing a pirate would be sweet... you sure that's what you're getting?

One of my friends that plays is taking sec. hits for destroying ships in non empire 0.0 space. He had a +4.0; after three pod kills and 10 to 12 ship destructions in 0.0 he is now at -6 something. This all happened right after the patch, didn't have that effect before. Looks like the time of positive sec. rating pirates is gone.

Im pretty sure Arathman, give or take a zero or two, ive made 100'000's in isk but my sec rating remains 'stuck' at 0.4

Bah, I make millions a day (when I'm not stuck in a station) from killing NPC cruisers... you are likely either stuck or you're missing a few zeroes.

Got the game 2 days after Release, got my sec status to .4 and it has not changed since.

There is actually none. There are some bugged 0.0 systems that give sec hits but otherwise podding / killing in 0.0 goes without sec hits.

I always "knew" you took sechits from podkilling *anywhere*, and from attacking/destroying ships only in empire space.
Can someone confirm that you do not take a sechit for podkilling in 0.0? |

I have been forced to do this recently, and you do not take a security hit for pod killing in 0.0 space, at least non-empire 0.0.
