The Republic flaunting it's fraught incompetence is hardly news.
In a way this is amusing to me. The RSS mimic a petulant, unruly hound, waddling away in dejection after being sprayed by Daddy DED for growling at it's mother Federation.
Ridiculous, convoluted, capricious demon of a republic. Look at what the Minmatar Republic are without it's watchmen. Remember Yulai. I hope that from this, the Federation take a lesson about the nature of their allies. Such an impulsive, warlike nation cannot be allowed to exist without a firm hand at the leash and a diligent board of whistle-blowers. They will not respect your judicial process, Gallenteans, the terrorist state only know one purpose in life, and that is to destroy. They will walk over you like they walked over the Amarrian peace treaty if you allow them the chance.
I beseech my good brothers and sisters; look around you. For those of you who love peace, who strive for our Minmatar ideals, please look around you and realize that the Republic is not a home for you. It is a lying, violent ***** and it will corrupt your hard work, steal the sweat from your brow and with it fuel it's senseless war engine. Trading chains for shackles, I am free. |

For now it is hard to tell if it was the single DED battleship presence or other exterior factors that eventually leaded the RSS fleet to withdraw.

Grandstanding is a tool that works, otherwise it wouldn't be used. I wouldn't be surprised if the RSS did this fully expecting to be turned back, just to score some popularity with the home crowd. Sounds cynical, but politics is a big part of the Republic and speaking as an outsider the emotion surrounding the wounding of Karin Midular is impressive. If the Republic hadn't been seen to react then it wouldn't have gone down well with the man on the street. Your ignorance is unassailable. Make not a pest of yourself; your dim-witted, ill researched personal attack isn't even thinly disguised as a credible counter-argument.
I do not sympathize with the Angels. But this is a fact I've already illustrated to you as thoroughly as I am able to, and in spite of our previous exchanges you persist to hold to your tinted fantasies.
So I suppose that it comes as no surprise then that when confronted with evidence of the Republic's character that you should also ignore this.
Strange creature. It forms it's own opinions with little basis in logic and then holds true to those opinions in the spite of further proofs against their stance.

Nah, I don't remember Halete being all pro-Angel. Their CEO is, or was. Made a retraction statement on the IGS a while back, after the Evaulon incidents.
Of course, capsuleers are somewhat flexible in their loyalties at any given point.
Get their CEO to clarify things here on the IGS, that'll sort out your confusion. |

I wish this were the case. Andreus is just... Andreus. This BloodBird character on the other hand is some paint-sniffer who, incapable of rational discourse, seems to get his kicks by tossing the name 'Angel' around for everybody who ideologically opposes him. So, what would you have us do, Pilot? Abandon our homes, our culture and our lives? For what?
I prefer to remain in my adopted nation and make changes from the inside rather than abandon it in a time of transition. Please remember that we're the newest of the empires and are also going through major political changes now. It takes time to build a stable nation but, that's exactly what we're working towards.
Instead of lobbing grenades from the sideline and harping on every misstep you could join us in shaping the Republic, if you're really that concerned. Otherwise, allow us to go about our business without the sneering commentary. What you want is irrelevant, what you've chosen is at hand. |

I have to agree with the Republic, the breach of patient privacy in this case is shocking, but on the evidence available to me the conclusion that moving her would reduce her chances of survival seems like a reasonable one.
However much the Republic may wish Chief Midular be back in their care, I hope they're pragmatic enough to prefer the best medical option over the best political one.
There's been no mention of cloning in all this. Is that not an option in her case for some reason, has she chosen not to have a backup prepared, or is that information simply confidential? It seems to me that a former Prime Minister, a tribal chief, and a Ray of Matar would definitely have access to that technology if she desired it. yes, I'm referring to a cold backup here. I'm perfectly aware that a transneural burning scanner is not appropriate to use on a patient with brain swelling.
I know capsuleers are used to burn cloning and tend to forget that cold cloning exists, but every time you hear of a non-capsuleer getting cloned, that's how it's done. Restore from backup. I once knew a researcher, got blown out into space in a lab accident, she was back at work the very next day after they loaded her neural profile from storage. Otro Gariushi could have done it if somebody hadn't been catastrophically stupid and stored all his clones and his neural profile on the Malkalen HQ station.
I'm wondering why this has not been mentioned as an option in Karin Midular's case. Is it because she's a Ray of Matar? An in-character blog and a video: http://verinsjournal.blogspot.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tu1mbsgo738

Hilarious.
I actually came back here to respond, because I felt it might be wise to at least inform you of why I despise you and other people like you so much, and why I feel that A) you should not be afforded any respect or respite for the actions previously made, and B) that you have no right to rail on the Republic or the Federation for a thing.
And here you are having a complete melt-down and pretty much reinforce my viewpoint perfectly.
You have plenty of choices, by the way.
For the actual topic at hand, I can only echo many others here. Nothing I have seen denies the Republic or the Sebeistor tribe from traveling peaceably to Luminaire and taking part themselves, and I do hope Midular recovers enough to travel home soon. I know I would not want to remain in foreign lands if I was in such a state - I would want to go home to Intaki and recover among my kin. But I would also want to be alive for that to happen.
I hope calm minds prevail here and that the former Prime Minister is well soon. I respect her quite a lot, it pains me to see her suffer like this. Same goes without need of a mention for the rest of the dead and wounded.

It was merely a sarcastic statement. This monster has acted against the Minmatar as much as the Gallente, if not more so considering that I'm pretty sure no Gallente leaders were butchered by him.
We haven't made any mistakes regarding this. We thank the Gallente for all the assistance they have provided, but it's time to stop looking like their lap dog. |
