Lots of incoming missiles -- way more than a bomber can tank.
And nigh-permajam EWAR out to (so far) 180km from the target.
Do you guys just... not run missions?
If you do run them, what the hell do you use that isn't... I dunno. A Gila or something. |

Gila is no better as it's another drone boat. Just stop running missions. You'll save yourself the headaches.

Answering cause your name kinda has my name in it.
Haven't run one for ages but I used to use a HAM Drake. I think Caracal would be capable of doing them too.
Many people don't run missions as missions don't effect the systems/sov.

Really? Best LP payout means easiest way to upgrade systems. Fighting more Minmtar, one night of mission running a week was enough to keep all the systems in our pocket shiny and upgraded, and still make enough to keep everyone in frigs and cruisers for the next week.
Kind of explains why there's around 25 systems sitting with no upgrades all the time, though -- it was puzzling. |

Lots in FW play more for the pew pew these days. LP is good and all, but we make enough just sitting in plexes waiting for the Gallente to find double our numbers+logi before engaging.
The 25 systems will not be upgraded because it's not LP dumping time. Wait for your militia to do a co-ordinated dump.

Gallente FW missions are traditionally done with 2 characters. Yourself with either a friend or an alt.
Personally, i did mine with a mwd nemesis fit for shield buffer and speed, this enters plex first and orbits something at 160km. My other toon has high skills with a bomber, he has a zero tank, pure gank 700+ dps manticore with 2 tp's and a web which speed up various missions in certain combinations. This bomber cloaks on the entry of a new spawn so the tank nemesis can take the agro.
Though, i havent done any missions since the rat changes, i guess now ill be using rail nagas in groups of 2/3 if i ever have to run missions again thanks to inferno lol. |

Cloaky Tengu is what I prefer for Gal missions.
DPS is on the low end, but still doable solo.
Yes, squid and minnie missions can be run solo in bombers.....(have never run amarr....) |

I've been in FW over a year now, have never run a FW mission.
You could always run plexes to make your LP. The LP from kills is nice, too. Hey! You're no zombie! |

Yeah, we really aren't having problems finding fights. Plexing is fine, but we get distracted easily, chasing guys.
Missions have always been a good time-efficient way to get LP and focus on fights the rest of the time, for us, because when we're in PvP ships, we always kind of forget to actually plex. :P |

It's not about cashouts anymore - It about maintaining Tiers for as long as possible. When pushing a tier - it's still worth organizing the LP dump.
And yes the Gallente are still in 2012.

I too enjoy being Caldari. This way we don't have to deal with inter-dimensional time warp that the Gallente have to deal with. I am sure in another universe X-Gallentious does not resemble a wandering hobo. As such, he is able to live his current life style with glee. Where Deen Wispa is actually a man, with not so nicely groomed hair. Where Chatgris plays some game called "LoL".
Who am I kidding! There is not extra dimension. |

One side gets to deal with lasers that won't even scorch the paint on the ship at 60km, the other side gets jammed and bombarded by missiles. And that's known as "balanced".
Now go and read that CCP quote saying that the game is more balanced now than it ever was before. Then, if you feel like going into a corner and quietly crying at how tragically true that statement is, go right ahead, nobody will think any less of you.

That came across wrong - I admit there's plenty of normal and awesome people in the Caldari militia, and just a few special snowflakes that like to post on the forums a lot. (And plenty that post on the forums a lot that are cool too).
My apologies - Your alliance especially, and many (most) Caldari militia members are nice guys.
Still, my state of incredulity stands - if that guy thinks Laney is bitter (which I disagree with, but regardless), does he not read these forums? |

That way all the farmers farm for them, and your guys get to enjoy the sweet nectar of undiluted LP.

That's why I can't figure out why Gall isn't at Tier 3. They've got more than enough systems, even if they didn't flip the half dozen that are nigh-constantly vulnerable.
I mean, the Gal-faction missions are terrible (I can reliably do Dead Men in a range- and ECCM-fit Manticore, and that's about it) and everyone seems gung-ho about plexing so... why not Tier3? Seems odd, but there's a lot about the Cal/Gall front that is strange and unfamiliar to me after a year with Minn/Amarr.
