Recently my attention was drawn to the Kheram system where there were 2 hostile ravens with a rupture and a few frigates camping the gate. So i fitted my megathron knowing they would try and sentry tank. I fitted a nice tank/warp distruptors/noseratus, with the plan of tanking them and holding one for the sentries to finish off. I jumped in and i as aggressed by them. My tank was holding up fine and the first raven was well into armour when the sentries suddenly stopped firing which resulted in my megathron going pop after my tank was broken. Later i spoke to some Huzzah members and very honourably they admitted the sentries were bugged and they would back up a petition. I petitioned the loss and the GMs told my they would not reemburse my ship because they "could not find proof" in their logs.

The other day a huzzah member got hit by the sentry guns after shooting a war target. They are very very dodgy atm. Also the consistency and correctness of GM rulings needs a serious look at. I had 3 battleships go down to lag one week, and 3 replies stating "We are sorry for your loss and hope you recover soon" frankly doesnt cut it for me

While it sucks donkey not get reimbursed for something like this, the GMs really can't do much if they in fact do not have logs confirming it. Otherwise they would have to reimburse every sob story. :/

Way,
I learned a long time ago the GM's were worthless  , and their answer is always the same. Never expect them to do any sort of research or believe anything you say, just move on and save your self the trouble.

I dont believe for one minute that they cannot see a bug with sentry fire, i also dont see that chat logs from Huzzah members admitting they used an exploit is not proof enough. Im absolutly sick and tired of useless GMs not giving us our subscription worth |

I've lost ships due to sentries/flag timer bugging on me and the answer has been the finger. On the other hand, some people seem to have it easier:

Well, I'm not saying that all the GM's are bad. My point is that if my bugging sentries won't show up on any game logs and thus I cannot be reimbursed, how can the carebear ship loss magically show some extraordinary data on the logs that gets them their ship back?

That chat log is pretty vague. for all you know, the guy in the navy apoc was in the same corp, ganged or whatever. In other words, the person could've very well been in a situation where CONCORD shouldn't have come to gank him in the first place, which would get a reimb I think.
And for you non-programmers, it is possible for a bug to not show up in an error log. I have limited coding experience, but I've spent hours reproducing bugs on MUDs and the like, without any sign in any log of what's causing it. It's rare, but it happens, and it sucks yes.
Ofcourse if the other guys were saying they abused it that's another story, unless the GMs honestly believe those guys were lying to help you get a new ship, which is doubtful...

I know what some of u mean my megathron died while in warp with full hp and since i was in warp there was no can it cost me around 200mil and the gm's proberly had a nice laff, one week later a friend was trying to tank a lv4 mission and tried to log when his hull started to go red ...........And they gave him a nice new mega as he claimed he CTD ....................

I was at that camp, the gate guns worked fine at first.We even lost a Inty to sentrys only... However, they did indeed get buggy during the fight, but there wasn't any sort of exploit, the sentrys just became buggy, isn't anyones fault but Eves/CPP's.
If the sentrys kept working, who knows how it would of turned out. We did attack knowing we had to tank sentrys and the fight was clean and fair until it became buggy. After your loss, WayWatcher, I left, so im not sure what happend after that.
Still, nice tankage, cya around.

Typical GM's \o/. Remmeber when there was the warningn on the main news about using the drones exploit to attack POS's? 1 day l8r my corp loses POS due to attackers using drones exploit rofl. GM's has "no logs" and could do nothing about it hahahaha!. They hoped we recovered soon as possible lmao.
Its also funneh when ur engaging someone and he dosent have stabs and he warps out \o/... classic. missed out on scorp kill yesterday cus of it. btw we ship scanned him and 4 T2 PDU's in lows (he was npcing). we also had logs of him being scrambled as he warped hehe.
Bleh Gm's h8 pirates simple as hehe. Carebears get it good

I got my shiny apoc back when servers crashed in middle of lvl4's back when I was playing .. so if they can get some prove that you lost it due GAME error I think you will get reimpused.
And about you losing your mega, ever popped to your head that once you started shooting raven, you were NEXT on line for aggression? Raven stopped shooting you and in few minutes, sentrys fried your sorry pie-rat ass.

koul... If the ravens aggroed him first then they are a little thing called "flagged". meaning he can shoot em for the next 15-20min of their eve life. thus sentries Shouldnt(tm) attack him.

Quick Q, did the two sentrys cycle on to other the other targets? If I remember right, they will cycle to new "agressed" targets after 30 seconds or so firing at the initial agressed target.

Yup, i've heard quite a few stories like that aswell. People that are just sending a petition in the hope of getting their ship back, even though they know full well it was a legitimate loss... and getting it.
I have never had a problem with GM's personally (havent had to send many petitions) but they need to be more consistent. :0

I was victomized by the Overview bug twice.
A war target warped out, as I was locking him. His flashing redness in overview transferred to some poor hauler, whom I tageted and destroyed, thinking it was a war target. I had previously triple checked that my overview setting were working correctly. However, I was Gang Raped my CONCORD and lost yet another ship to EVE's bugs.
I bet if the EVE BUGs got Kill Mails, they would be in the lead for Kill points. Mind you, only the un-reinbursable ones.

The Ravens belonged to myself and Carl Bates. WayWatcher warped to our camp in a Mega and we aggressed. The sentries opened up on me. WW started taking a lot of damage and warped out. At this point the sentries changed to Carl. WW warps back in, and we manage to take him out. In the heat of battle, the fact that the sentries did not cycle back to me was not immediately apparent. We fully support WW on this point and if he wants to pursue the issue with the GMs I will be happy to supply any logs required.
The billboard continued to attack me afterwards!

I think a fair bit of it could stem from that maybe the GM's dont all have a broad experience of play, the guys doing reimbursement should have a fair bit of combat experience so they know the kind of ****ed up crap that can happen. Back in the large Iron/SE fight gm's were moving people out of the affected system if they filed a stuck petition. Those who filed reimbursement petitions were told there was no evidence of lag. Err...thats a little duplicitus in my book

I lost 2 Ravens due lag.
Following Scene: My Raven Warps out, a minute later or two i am not even at this spot anymore i am sitting in an egg wondering where my interfaces are gone.
Petition Answer we cant find anything in our log.
The one who was shot by us, wrote a petition and got his mega back.
Well what you should definatly know: If a GM dont like you or your style, you got a problem ;)
i have screens of my Raven warping out with 70% Shields and arriving in egg thats what i call lag!
But its not worth to discuss about Problems, the only argument you may get is in other words: You want to be banned? No? so dont argu with me.

Okay Mactire, so it went:
*WayWatcher warps in.
*The Camp (2 Ravens + Rupture + frigates) agress.
*Sentries open up on 1 of the ravens.
*Waywatcher warps out and back in, in this time the sentries cycle to the Second raven.
*Sentries appear not to cycle to anyone, Mega gets popped.
However, according to this post the sentries popped an inty, suggesting that they cycled on an inty at some point? That accounts for, what, 90 seconds of combat?
Just to clarify:
Were any of your other ships engaged by the sentries, or was it just the 2 Ravens?
When was the Interceptor popped (if indeed one was popped)? Was it before the First Raven was cycled on by the sentries or after the second raven, etc
How long was combat roughly?
