i have over 2.4million sp.
have all my learning skills done... i started training for research agents to make isk, in the long run..
but does pirating really give good money?
if so, anyone interested in me :p ?

if you join a good pirate corp, it can make a fair bit of money. But most pirates do it for fun. tbh i prefer pirating in my spare time (like i'm doing atm) then when i need some cash i go mining in deep 0.0.

Everyone from Stain is Incredibly rich, so they can pirate and throw money at targets to get them to sit at 0.0 belts and Roleplay being ransomed.

Yes it can. But making money is much harder and is by no means guaranteed.
I recommend you check out Verone's excellent thread on the topic, which can be found here.
Another helpful thread is this one.
The path is long and hard, and expect to suffer heavy losses in the beginning. Personally, as a relative newbie pirate for about 1 1/2 months, I'm on my Dominix number 2, Blackbird number 4 and Thorax number 6, just to give you an idea.
EDIT: Forgot to add that despite all those losses, I'm just about breaking even in terms of profit and losses.

Pirates do make good money but its not easy money. Side note: S******dly is a great pirate corp to join if you are interested i got nothing but respect for those guys. One of the few ( >>> that i know of <<< ) that do honor ransoms and hurt ppl who kill post ransom if it was paid. Good guys though.

Piracy pays well, but you need the reserves to take some losses and the balls to sometimes attack things far more powerfull than yourself.
For example, only 20 minutes ago i attacked a thorax in my incursus. Its normally suicide to do this, but its worth the risk because an incursus is such a cheep ship.
Luckly for me the guy had no drones and mid blasters, so i just pinned him down, eroded him into structure and made 2 million in a nice ransom.
Just fly ships you can afford to use and always push your luck...you can make good money.

Pirating is very profitable if done right and in small numbers. If you go around in a big blob you make hardly and money.

if your pirating, do it for fun, its seldom you hit it big.
Get your tradeskills up, monitor the market, and within 1 hour you could easily make hundres of millions.
