I m just starting buying and selling goods. I found a way of making 500,000 isk in one run, by buying spirit from one station and selling it in a mining station, just 2 jumps away.
Unfortunatly, even if the mining station is requesting 15K units of spirit, I can t sell any of my stock because it is illegal in this station.
Any idea what i can do? I spent all my money on this.
I tried other stations and it s the same. Is their a specific skill to sell illegal goods?

Right click on the item and check the Legality. The station you are trying to sell it to is probably owned by one of the listed races.
You will have to scout around and sell it at a lower price (probably a loss).
That is the price of trying to sell goods that are illegal in some places.

There should be no way of making a buy order in a station that does NOT allow you to sell this. I feel this is a bug tbh. Shame because new players always fall for it (I did also!) and of course all there money (because there new) are tied up in the huge amounts they hav bought.
This really needs to be fixed as I think enough new players get caught out on this which puts them off the game

I think it is a bug. I check on the map when I click on the option to see if my cargo was illegal. None of the systems around me lit up.
Also normally you can see a skull on the icon of an illegal cargo but it didn t show up this time. I just have to find a system where i can sell it, even if it mean selling at a loss.
This is going to be a lesson for me. don t put all your eggs in one basket.

That is exactly what I did. I checked for illegality and it was all good. Just keep getting the message "can't sell at this station" I'm a noob and put all my money 300k worth into this and can't sell it anywhere. Legal to buy, illegal to sell?
Please fix this as people like me are getting stung big time!

There is a "Legal" tab on the item description itself.
Anyway ESCROW it to me for 300k and after I verify that the amount you have would have cost you around that I will take it off your hands.
It is possible to sell it - just needs taking to the right area .... I probably travel more than you do at the moment.

bring it back to the station you bought it at and put up a sell order at .01 isk per unit lower than market price. Anyone that wants some will buy from your order before the npc orders. You'll take a slight loss, but should get most of your funds back.
