Sulliva Slake The Fated E.Y 14	Posted - 2013.04.13 15:18:00 - [1] - Quote ok I don't know why, but after playing eve for an hour or so, it converts question marks into +¬'s and screws up other fonts aswell. The only way I have found to fix it is to restart the game... Does this happen to any one else?

I don't think so. And I never downloaded the language packs for windows either. So I dont THINK I have any installed.. (I might tho, ya never know) And this issue ONLY happens ingame. As I write this right now, in firefox, it works the way it should. But if I go into the game, it doesn't work the way it should.. Weird..

Its this keyboard exactly: http://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilion-Multimedia-5188-6077-SK-2960/dp/B001C6OI9U its a PS/2 model.. yes, its VERY old.. But it works great, other then this issue...

May be you pressed the Alt + Shift keys simultaneously and switched keyboard unwillingly. It happened to me in other MMOs. If it is the case, all you have to do is press Alt + Shift again to toggle back to normal.

Under WIndows 7: Control Panel -> Clock, Language, and Region -> Keyboards and Languages Then remove any extra keyboards (French) , and check the other settings, like Advanced Key Settings and removing the keyboard language change mappings. I also hid the language icon, as I didn't need the systray clutter.

My keyboard is french and sometimes it will lock up as english US. I have the windows language toolbar up and nothing i can do will change eve's language. Windows' keyboard will keep working normally.

If it hasn't already been addressed, Windows comes with the ability to switch between keyboard languages with a couple of key-presses (it's that little keyboard icon that sometimes pops up in your tray). You can switch back, and also disable the hotkey that causes the change, by clicking on that icon.

And it has absolutely nothing to do with the physical keyboard you use, it's all in the software. As others have said, you most likely hit Alt-Shift by accident. To turn that off: Control Panel -> Change keyboards or other input methods -> Keyboards and Languages -> Change keyboards... -> Advanced Key Settings Then for each action do: "Change Key Sequence... -> Not assigned" until they all have "(None)" as their key sequence.

At the end of the game both the pawn and the Queen go in the same box.

When a WoW player leaves to return to WoW, the avg. IQ of both games rises. Professional Forum Thread locker.
