Its not the biggest problem in the world, but it sure is annoying. All of a sudden last night my keyboard went from Danish to US/English. It dont hamper gameplay but its annoying that i write ;'[ instead of µ°Õ and >( instead of :)
Anybody have the same problem or even better, have a solution?

Depends which version of windows you are running, but check the windows language hasn't been changed somehow.

Hmm I just tried another account and it worked perfect, so its my account and not PC who have this keyboard problem. This is indeed very strange

The combination of Alt+shift key makes change the language setting of the application you are running. In the Control Panel (keyboard icon in w98 or regional setting icon in WinXp), you have the possibility to add more keyboard settings and display the tool on your task bar. Even if its not installed in the task bar, its still running. By pressing ALT+shift keys you will see the icon change (for me it goes from "Fr" to "En" and vice-versa). In Eve you will see it just above the zone where you type your text. So to avoid language switch dont press alt+shift. If it switched, alt+shift once more to go back to danish.

Edited by: Dragon Scion on 26/09/2005 21:03:46 Actually, you can just turn this off.
Go to the CONTROL PANEL and find REGIONAL AND LANGUAGE SETTINGS. Open it Then, go to the Languages Tab and DETAILS Then, click the keyboard's sub-item with your native language (repeat the following steps for each listed if more than one is listed) Click KEYSETTINGS and select an action, if there is an assigned key sequence, then uncheck both boxes and confirm the change. Repeat for all assigned boxes.
Finally, back at the TEXT SERVICES window, go to advanced and then check the box TURN OFF ADVANCED TEXT SERVICES.
Hit OK to all windows and have a good time playing. =)

Edited by: Teela Belwynn on 08/10/2005 20:57:50 just press Alt+Shift in-game, that'll swap your keyboard language settings between Dk to En, and back if you wish (make sure the window's text input 'cell' is active). Current language setting can be seen in the acual chat window. Linkage
