Are the changes to boosts happening in Odyssey? In particular the change to off grid boosting being taken away? |

Does this refer to the models you see in the new station interiors, or something else? There's also "colony ship" written on a sticky note. Those "interior design" cards were just for the April Fool's Day video, since that shot of the board led into the "interior" of the Abaddon. You can see, too, that they are printed cards that are pasted over the (presumably) handwritten pink stickies behind them. The ship redesign printouts are seemingly unrelated to the interior design, and I'd say are very likely real. (CCP has expressed an interest in redesigning the Atron and Tristan (last years Fanfest 2012) as well as the Crucifier/Sentinel.) The colony ship, too, I'd say is likely real. I'm sure, based on the scrappy-looking, last minute budget of the video that they didn't expect people to go frame by frame eeking out information from the video. I think it's more likely they thought we'd all get a laugh at the "Orbital Cannon" drawing and the "interior" of the Abaddon.

Security status for tags? Huh. Alright. So-- odds are these'll be the equivalent of the existing Data Centers for existing factions, where you can trade in tags for faction standings.
A good way for pirates to rehabilitate.
Will this allow a player to go beyond 5.0 security status? ;) |

There are 4 new NPC rats for each pirate faction. They will only spawn in low-sec asteroid belts. They each have a 100% chance to drop a new kind of tag. The tags will be sellable on the market.
You take the tag and some ISK to a CONCORD or DED station in Low Sec and they will turn it into Security Status for you.
Goons can hoard tags, burn Jita, then repair the security status hit. I like it. |

But yeah, this is a great one. It may make some existing ones unused, depending on the drop rate. (And it's the drop rate and relation to T2 Salvage prices that will affect the decryptor price.)
Didn't say it didn't have its uses, just that the -2ME is pretty harsh and that +7 run/+2 ME is an appealing alternative. Member of the Goonswarm Economic Warfare Cabal |

You're right...
It's just.... for the longest time, I was stupified as to the use of some of the more, unusually numbered decryptors. I was convinced that NPCs just bought them, like the "Personal Effects" in some plexes.
Then I got smart.

Ice mining for me is only one of many different activities I enjoy in New Eden. I ice mine usually when I have to work from home for the real world - at least I can be forwarding my action in game while taking care of my responsibilities. I can also mine while doing housework etc., I also enjoy planetary production; running missions and etc. .
My first reaction to finding out about the intended changed for having to scan out ice fields is that this was CCP's brilliant idea to end bot mining of ice. It will be VERY difficult I imagine to write a macro for the scanning process. Of course - all this will do is send the bot miners back into the astroid belts.
I would like to offer a very simple method to finally end bot mining for once and ever.:
Require a "capcha" to be entered once inside an ice field or an astroid belt in order for the mining modules to be activated. I know - this is a pain in a way. But out here on Earth we have to do this all the time for silly stuff like enrolling in a on-line newsletter. If we could actually eliminate bot mining and its negative impacts on the economy I think it'd be worth having to enter 3 or 4 randomly generated digits. I am sure that the very creative minds at CCP could come up with a "story" for why this is necessary; or just to say - HEY you gotta be a REAL LIVE POD PILOT to mine resources - not just some lump of code!

Well, nothing new from CCP, all this expansion I can explane in few words:
- Nothing new, only nerf here - buff there on old ships - and that's all.
So they did nothing, all changes is just simple database changes and nothing more.
No new ships, no bugs repair, they still don't think about players who play and pay for this game over 5-6 years and most of this good skilled people leave who create some intresting fights, and if they leave, many other people leave too, for this EVE is die, it's not intresting anymore.

You should really turn on the Eve Keynote Stream on Fanfest right now.
Also: there are new ships. Navy Battlecruisers. Pirate frigates. And i have the slight feeling that there is a lot of more to come this evening! |

at last, more "life", but i would definately see more in station interaction with our ship. Like repair drones doing bzz-bzz on the armor plates and micro shuttles coming in and out of our ship (larger ones, with supplies and ppl) to underline that ship actually has crew and some life going there. |

CCP Ytterbium wrote:Ah yes, this makes me remember to tell you guys something that should make you happy - we're going to increase calibration on all Navy Ships from 350 to 400. While it makes sense for Tech2 hulls to have less rig sots due to the specialized nature of the ships, Navy hulls are supposed to be an improvement over Tech1, but is not always the case right now due to rig / calibration restrictions.
