All they have to do is beeing able to be assembled in cargo. No extra space with them.
And you could make them freigther only or something like that.

good idea, it would help keep large orders categorized, rather than making a list of what belongs to who

Yes thats the idea. Moving personal items for 20 people makes 1 huge list.

Yup good idea, since we don't have folders for cargo holds it makes sense that freighters should get some kind of huge cans to keep things seperate. Should be an easy addition too. _____________________________________

Now there's an idea I could get behind..
Freighter Cargo Hold divisions.
Makes perfect sense when you think about it.

But you have notepad, you can note it there and leave the devs fix something more bad like stupid bugs (if they do fix it) _________________________________

This would take no coding, just a few values changed in a database. In other words its something a non-coder at CCP can do in five minutes.

Good Idea.
Until the Devs do it, though, remember that Giant Secures can be named (like, with the name of the individual who's stuff you're carrying).
It's a lot of cans, but it's easier than listing each individual thing.

Except that I don't think you can put assembled cargoes into a freighter at this time.

I don't have a freighter (yet?), and I was unaware of that.

I've recently learned that while you can't put Cargo Containers into a Freighter, it's cargo hold is similar to a Corporate hangar, and it has multiplte "Tabs" to sort the cargo being hauled.
Not perfect, but it's better than everything in one huge messy pile in the cargo hold! __________

good idea, however it shouldn't be a priority for the developers as it would only help a very small fraction of the eve populace

That is not necessarily true. While only a small fraction of the Eve population may have access to Freighters, the availability of cheap, convenient bulk transportation has ripple effects all across Eve.
Just consider what would happen if all the world's container ships up and disapeared.

Or more realistically, they could partition off all cargo holds on industrials and freighters as I can't image a superdome inside a ship. Each cell can hold so much space. _________________________________________

for not breaking game mechanic, put a option only in station to partition cargo hold. When you open it , it the same cargo but with different "windows" corresponding of number of separation (each equal) . It like selectioning number of giant can and open them, you will have the same window. Easy to make, surely enought easy to computer for ccp and keep player happy

Freighters are not supposed to usurp the roles of industrials. They move things between industrial centers, not to the spokes.
I like you.
(He's entirely correct)
So is there a snowball's chance in...well you know where...of us ever seeing the Freighter's role expanding to at least include launching and recovering of POS?
...what about at least allowing us to move assembled cargo containers so we can keep cargo sorted
"Always maintain a rigid state of flexibility"
Actually, I wouldn't rule out the extension of the Freighters deployment role, but not at this point in time.
There may be hope yet...
