CCPs offering with Dust 514 is almost too good, it shouldn't be free! As a player well known in many communities, I will recommend this latest adaption by Sony, and CCP to all of my friends. It might have been made for PC, but I think it would have ended up as an expansion for EvE, rather than a standalone product. It wouldn't be sensible to expend resources on a brand-new engine for a platform on which your primary product (with an already-functional engine) already runs.

PS4 has taken the reigns now. I have to say with exception to Homefront DUST is the worse I have ever played. FFS Doom 1 targeting mechanics are even better in comparsion. I suspect Dust will not be ported to PS4 due to lack of funding. So enjoy it while it lasts,

Eve + DUST are supposed to evoke a science fiction universe - they don't. They evoke 24/7 war. If Star Wars The Old Republic got its act together, it would steamroller Eve. My type of game has always been along the lines of Total War, and the extremely longwinded strategy games ,paradox's hearts of iron for instance. To show how adrift i am from forums and this kind of game i didnt understand what you were telling me in your post. Enjoying Dust atm but i am really bad at it.Has helped switching to mouse and keyboard as thats what i'm used to. Will be interesting to see how it develops.

"Rating: 5.8 [of 10.0]. Mediocre". Well, we know what eventually happens to mediocre FPS's that have banal design, poor shooting mechanics, and are a grind. The sooner the better.

It's better than CoD anyway, but I never did like that game. I have had much more fun in Battlefield heroes, but my longest FPS period was Battlefield Bad Company 2. Never went for 3; certainly not interested in 4. TF2 was unique but lacking something. Brink was far too limited in scope, despite the very interesting movement capability. Only other games I can think of were strictly LAN or single player. I'd say this ranks marginally above Brink and TF2, but doesn't quite have the immediacy and intensity of Battlefield Bad Company 2. It's certainly not as fun as getting Blown up in Battlefield Heroes. Ultimately, the only reason I am still playing is because it is EVE and I support it as a result. zubzubzubzubzubzubzubzub
