Mythos is one of the most known Greek corps around. A couple more Greek corps are Maza Nostra,the one i'm in at the moment,and Maza Solutions.
At the start there was only Maza solutions,we got involved in an alliance and have fought long wars. At some point we decided to split the corp to allow for different playstyles,since not everyone was interested in fighting.
As it stands now, Maza Solutions is a corp operating mainly in secure space. Maza Nostra is doing more dangerous stuff,and we are in an alliance with many enemies,so it might not be the best idea to join this one if you are a new player.
We are 2 separate corps now,but we have been friends for a long time and this is why we have kept the Maza name in the new corp as well.
My advice is to join channel maza ingame,talk to the people there and if you like it you can join maza solutions.
What you get when you join Maza Solutions:
1) Some money to help you start the game.They usually give 2-3 million ISK to every new member,so they can buy some skills and ships easily.
2) The first ship from each class is free.That is,you get a frigate when you join,as soon as you have the skills you get a cruiser,and so on. I think you even get your first battleship for free.
3) Experience and people who have been playing the game for a long time.Most of the players are more than 1 year old,and they will be there to help you decide your carreer in EvE and the best way to do what you like in the game. They will tell you how to build up your character, how to optimize your skill training,and so on.There's always someone to answer your questions.
4) Teamspeak Server for free.Because talking is faster and easier than typing.
5) We have our own website and forums.
6) Lots of new players as well at this time,so if you join you will have people of the same skill level as you,working together and learning as a team.
Plus,if you get bored of doing peaceful things,you have the option to join Maza Nostra when you have gained some experience.Maza Nostra is in an alliance with access to 0.0 space,some very good combat pilots on our side and some of the best players as our enemies.
Our alliance also has an academy corp that takes new players and teaches them tactics and standard methods of combat against other players.
As you can see,you have the option to do most of the different things that EvE has to offer:mining,industry,missions,production,research and combat.
What do you need to do for all these things?Not much,just be a person who wants to play the game and have fun with others.The only thing you are expected to do is help members who are newer than you,the same way that players older than you will help you in the start.
