To the Pod-Pilot community of Eve.
I have been a Pilot for more or less three years now. I have seen the rise and fall of numerous empires, The humbling of once proud corps and the rise of new powers to domination, and I am ready to call it a day. To celebrate, I decided to write a chequered history of Lallante.
I started off life, as a wingman of Stavr0s the infamous pilot, in a group of 4 or 5 pilots flying Stavr0s-built punishers (all of whom have long since retired from pilotting). Those were the days of lightning prospecteering, mining the highest end ores from under the noses of lazy pirate guardians. Within weeks, we had purchased the universes first pilot owned Maller blueprint, and scarecly over three weeks into my career, I was a cruiser pilot.
At this point, terrorising Emrayur and the surrounding regions (sentry guns having not yet been rolled out to stargates and the police forces being undertrained and slow to respond), we became big fishes in a small pond. Further afield, a pirate corp were beginning to make a name for themselves, so we decided as a group to join m0o, in its first incarnation.
I was there for the infamous blockades of Mara and Passari, When long-hidden near godlike powers of the empires were put to use as the only way of disrupting our near-blanket barrier. Soon after that came the first highway changes, and Mara and Passari were skipped altogether. Furthermore, Concord had become wise to our tricks and cited sentrys on every empire patrolled gate. It was time for us to find a new home. And we did; FD-MLJ and PF-346.
m0o held those systems in an iron grip, under frequent attack from the fleets of the first Northern Alliances, Fountain and later Syndicate-Placid. In one infamous camera-drone capture, you can see Lord Zap fleeing from a mighty northern fleet. What the image doesnt show, is the Mallers of myself, The reverand and Tsiet which had already made our escape through the jumpgate. Our Mallers had held out well, but we were beginning to be overtaken in the arms race by the occasional dominix and scorpion among our foes. Enter; J0rt and Ywevs insalubrious connections with various production corporations, primarily Asgard. Soon we had 2 BSs of our own, and Zap soon followed with a third. Things were looking up, Nothing could touch us. Then came RUS. In one fight, Jort and Ywev both lost their brand new BSs to Russian 1400s. A new threat who eventually became a close ally had joined the fray.
Skip forward 2 months, m0o had decided that the golden era of piracy was at an end, and wished to bow out with its undisputed premier position intact. The first hibernation began, and I joined Sinister. The era of alliances was beginning, with the powerhouses of Fountain (sworn enemies) and Stain (uncertain neutrals) rising. A single corp couldnt hope to make the same mark as one of these behemoths, and so Leyla, Sinisters leader, began to formulate a plan.
m0o and later Sinister had had many excursions to Curse and the surrounding area, terrorising its inhabitants. When it was decided to become a regional alliance, we had much of the infrastructure already in place. RUS joined us, and we merged into our group a coaliton of local corps. Leyla was the quiet, intelligent designer behind the early decisions of the new Curse Alliance, as we swept away the dissenting Curse Coaliton and began the long long war with Stain.
At this point, I had risen to frequently leading fleets against the main enemy forces. The m0o guys were beginning to return to the game, and joined the fun. I was present the day Grikl lost his Imperial Apoc, and in the great battle of HLW where 100 of our brave pilots faced 150 from the combined fleets of Stain, Evolution and Fountain. I led the force that decimated the Fountain Fleet that had come to conquer curse a few weeks later in the battles of E02 and M-M. We showed that numbers wernt important in comparison to coordination and rapid reactions.

Part2
At this point Sinister was very much in the decline. Leyla had left,(as had the great Sarkos of Oracle) allowing hawkish figures such as Xirtam to seize control. CA began admitting any corp that applied, against the council of figures such as myself, USS Omaha and Poxie. m0o had left CA, something I felt unable to do, for reasons along this line.
I had become, with Chowdown, one of the CAs main fleet leaders, and Alpha team, the Pure-PvP wing of CA was racking up HUGE kill-loss ratios and were the terror of DSS and LGK. But our numbers were dwindling as more and more corps went more and more industrial.
What began was arguably CAs strongest hour economically, while all the while the military faced with apathy and carebearing was allowed to falter. As we began struggling to hold our space, Political struggles between the vying egos of Xirtam and Foyle, both desperate for the poltical premiership, slowly tore rifts in the Alliance.
Interestingly, the Alliance forums currently used by .5. were originally created for the discussion of alliance politics between shinra leaders (who by this time had come to include myself) and likeminded CEOs/directors. It has been in constant use since then.
As the end of CA drew near, Chowdown engineered a masterplan leaving Shinra in a fantastic position and all our best allies well catered for. We left to begin fantasticly successful campaigns in Period Basis (where we showed that a single corp could beat 2 alliances time and time again), and later Fountain where we assisted ATUK in its seige.
At about this time, .5. was beginning to be formulated. We had kept close ties with Black REIGN, BOS and Supremacy, and were working extensively with ATUK, and it seemed the perfect plan. When we had left curse originally, all our members left their hangars in HLW. "We WILL be coming home boys" we directors told our troops.
The magnificent night when 200 .5. BSs met in agil for the march on HLW will never be forgotton, and nor will the subsequent 6 months when we proved ourselves THE military heavyweight alliance.
The destruction of XETIC, the first major alliance to be destroyed by outside forces, Foundation (with V of course), and now RA have kept our tradition of total domination alive.
I retire as a .5. Fleet Admiral because of a huge range of reasons, but most of all I feel the time is right. Ive done what I set out to do.

Lallante was forum banned a long long long time ago, with almost all the warnings for posting images such as this one; http://www.bartho.fsnet.co.uk/eve.gif In image not link form.
This char will be deleted once this thread and the sale thread die. No need to ban this account too mods, it will have nothing to do with me in future.

Yep, I did a scientific study of the mods using a main SNRA guy and a brand new alt. Said the same thing and the SNRA guy got the warning, not the alt on the other account. So, that proves one thing, they (mods) selectivly enforce and punish ppl depending on their ingame affiliations.

We tried to correct that kind of behavior, but Kieron removed the War declaration. One other thing I noticed is that when you e-mail the mods about a problem, sometimes they e-mail back insisting you should say what your in-game char name is. I mean a violation is a violation, it shouldn't matter who is complaining.
But nevertheless this thread is not about the mods, its about Lallante. I feel too much time has been spent discussing them already. ----
