Firstly EVE is still quite unknown alot of people i know have only heard of WOW. And people on eve usually were referred to EVE by friends.
Secondly WOW is a simpler game for a younger age like EQ. EVE requires a more mature player to understand it. Not that I am saying WOW are all immature there are many intelligent players of WOW but on average ages are higher for eve than WOW.
Thirdly EVE still remains the most successful single server mmorpg! Which i think is inspired!

Look at the rate of unexpected downtimes, sudden freezes, node drops etc. etc. in the recent month. I think if this goes on much longer it won't be a successful single server mmorpg for uch longer.

Did this just...kinda pop up in your head?
Sort of an alien compulsion saying, "I must declare this!"?

Seems like a reply to another thread, just taken into a new subject...
Not very usual, or clear.
And anyway, the discussion is useless, there are no WoW players to discuss ti with here.

WoW seems like a poor mans everquest imho.
I played wow a bit on the ten day trial and only mamnaged to play a few hours until I became absolutely bored crapless. I would rather mine than play wow, and I did

I would be more than willing to join you in a tech rant. However, please be advised that people have been saying "not for much longer!" for near three years now. Most of those people are gone; eve is still here.
And i agree that this is likely a case of reply-newtopic translocation syndrome.

Apples and oranges.
If I want depth, politics and production I boot up my EVE account. If I want to beat up some Horde and try to get awesome gear, I boot up my WoW account.
It's a mindful vs mindless sort of situation where they balance each other out. At least for me. Comparing them against each other is silly.

If people did we would have all sorts of idiots running around trying to be cool. I know that EVE is the best and thats enough!

Why aren't you replying there then? (If it was locked, you aren't supposed to open a new thread on the subject)

Did you really feel so much anger just because of some random guys opinion that you had to start your own "NO IT ISN'T" thread? Just let it go man .

WoW doesnt require much skill. Its all button mashing in a rock-paper-scissors game. Killed a raid boss? Great job, I'm sure it took a lot of skill to go to Google and search "Ragnaros strategy" and follow them through. PvP? Same thing. Rambo charges, die, respawn in 30seconds, rinse repeat. You'd be better off holding hands and doing a million man army march.
Been there done that, played WoW from Beta. - LeonCoeur, Rank 13 Field Marshal, level 60 paladin, Argent Dawn
As for Eve? Its a hell of a lot more tactical, and its PvP with risks. :D

Well, since were compairing WOW and EVE. I have an active WOW account and EVE account. So far everytime I've wanted to log in to EVE (everyday for several hours) I got right in. I can't say the same thing about WOW.

I'm just gonna jump on the bandwagon here and point out that I've seen people making ridiculous statements like this since I started Eve... and there are now 20,000 more accounts than there were then.

Actually, if you're into meaninglessness and cheap quick fun, WoW is good. Though I don't think it should be classified as a MMO. More like a multiplayer adventure game with save feature.
