How does one go about resigning as ceo and putting another in its place please

The new CEO must have the skills needed to run the corp, such as appropriate corp management and ethnic relations skills so they can account for all members of the corp. The old CEO then has to right click on his portrait while docked and click on "Resign as CEO". After that, it will pop up a screen with people that are able to take the CEO slot, those that have the skills to run the corp. After that, you select the person you want, hit okay and it is done.

What has been said is correct, however, I will explain how it went when i took over as Black Avatar CEO and then haned over the ceo role to someone else.
Our old CEO had not played in a while, and had to renew his account to pass over the role, (we didnt have enough shares as directors to vote the CEO out).
I had spent quite a while getting my Corp management skills to the level required to run the corp.
However, when I was CEO I still had to go the corp window, grab the window where you can set the corp description and there is a button when your CEO to update Corp managment with your skills.
So it seems you can in fact run a corp for some time with the old CEO's skills in effect. These corp skills seem independant to the role of CEO, however, if you corp out grows the old CEO skils your would need to surpass them yourself adn update corp skilz for you corp to keep growing.
Handing over the role of CEO is as mentioned although I believe I could chose only directors? might need to confrim more on this.

p.s. worst case is when the CEO stops playing and directors dont have enough shares to vote the CEO out.

Ok now here comes my question.In my corp the CEO resigned (the character was an alt made just to make the corp up and running)and made me CEO (I was a director and had the skills to go up for CEO). No problem but i cant expell or kick the old CEO from my corp since he is an alt and the main character of the account of his is CEO to another corp now (i got exactly 50% of the shares of the corp), the action of expel says its either still a CEO or has to many shares (actually he has the other 50% of the total).Is there any way i can do this or does he has to login with his account and resign from the corp himself? I changed his rights (roles and grantable roles a the lower ones, cause he was picking money and spying on the stuff of my corp's hangars and my members' hangars
