A friend of mine was today ransomed by 'lex' and 'tiller' of 'snuff syndicate'. This is not a post to whine about ransoming. But these two guys demanded 40 mill ransom. My friend is merely a week old in game and didnt know what was happening so off course they podded her. If they only were gate camping I would only laugh. But demanding such a ransom from a noob is somewhat dishonourable, even for a pirate. Either demand a decent ransom or stop ransoming.

Well actually, she could have been a n00b alt carrying implants and BPOs for someones main. It was a long shot, but it was a potential. The podding was part of the pirate's honorable stand by their words, you don't threaten someone without doing it if the demands are not met.

I hear alot of talk about pirates honour and so on!
I¦m sure these individuals not represent the majority of pirates that use some sense
and honour. Maybe the pirates themselfs should deal with these two!!!

Think Tiller had a bad day... and went on a killing spree or something. At least they spoke to your friend before blasting the pod to bits and pieces.
(im 2 weeks in the game, got my first hard-earned cruiser - finding me podded within a few secs at a gate after a jump is not very encouraging. wish they would have talked about ransom... otherwise i agree with the OP)

Why was your 1 week old n00b friend in low sec space?
Its about time the older members of corps start acting responsibly, tell your n00bs to go run missions or mine in high sec till they get the hang of things.
Of course there are to many gready carebears out there that bring their noobs out to low sec to help with their mining operations. Its like lambs to the slaughter.

Its just the Alt of the person who made this post...or at least someone's alt.
If ur really 2 weeks old....then u'll be runnin away from rats at the gate in a 0.8 system.
Doubt they'll be stupid enough to go lower then 0.5 unless told to.
