No, better off going for full gank on that beasty, if you want to tank, get yourself a sac :)

Actually, I have found it can be
2 RCU, 1x1600 plate, 1 thermal hardner, 1 med repper II and 2x Heat sink II
Takes a while to wear down and still packs a punch.
Gank / tank is all good. It's just equipping it right for the situation.

2xRCU+ 1600mm plate = waste of 3 perfectly good slots...
i have nothing against plating it... but it just feels wrong

I was sceptical, then I tried it...
1) You still have 4 slots spare and now you have well in excess of 5k armour with juicy resists. Waste of 3 slots to add 3,360 base armour?
2) You can still fit med guns which means you dont lose the damage bonus

If you want to plate it consider using an 800mm steel II. Works great and you leave those two slots open for a couple of N-Type hardeners for better resistances.

You can actually run that setup, with 1 RCU, True Sansha one's that is, so yes it works quite well, imo i would only take that approach if i had high HAC skills, to get the bigger dmg bonus.

What guns are you using? I regularly run a 1600mm on my Zealot, but I never fit an RCU. ----------------------------------------

Edited by: Hesprax on 21/09/2005 22:48:24 I didn't used to like the idea of plating my Zealot much until I actually tried it, although I would never start filling my lows up with RCU's. This is one of the setup's I use, it's no big secret and it works very well indeed, true enough the damage won't be quite as high as a none plated heavy pulse setup but it's plenty enough.
HI: 4 x focussed medium pulse II's, 1 x small energy neutraliser (hey, it fits )
MED: 1 x 10MN AB II, 1 x 90% web, 1 x medium cap battery II.
LOW: 1 x medium armour rep II, 1 x thermal hardener, 1 x 1600mm tungsten, 1 x cap relay, 3 x heatsink II.
Named hardeners and scramblers will probably be necessary due to cpu, I haven't actually tried none named stuff but I can tell you a faint epsilon 7.5k will fit with an N-Type thermal.

You shouldn't be allowed to undock in a Zealot without plates. ________________________________________________________

use a 1600mm and focused pulse. with the focused pulse you can fit a lush set-up. Its just very very weak cap wise. So either drop the web and fit a cap booster or just take it as it is.
Aint telling my exact set-up but im sure you'll figure summin that fits you play style. --------------------------------------------------------
