Hi there,
I know there is not much to config about the impel, but i really want to know what I can fit on the 'High Slot' of it. Since the Impel seems to fly backwards -15m/s- I guess some internal nanofiber is the best we can do without loosing cargo space. A 10 MWD I use for medium slot.
How did u config ur impel?

Haven't tried the impel out myselfr yet but considering it's so damn slow i'd equip a cloak. See an enemy hit cloak and pray that he didn't see the direction you came from.
Can give you that time needed to call in support.
You wont kill anything with a single gun anyways.

gee a cloak would make it unmovable or what is -70% of 15m/s 
so the only thing u can equip at that high slot is only a cloak... since turret or missile cant be mounted.

Itll only go 15m/s if you fill the lowslots with expanders.
Try putting something else in there, theres a reason why theres 7 lowslots.

Use a cloak - your object is to delay an enemy's locking time after you come out of jump-cloak on a gate long enough to get into warp, not fly around as a covops.

I wouldnt buy an impel to use 7 overdrives :P , I think the main idea is behind the cargo space
and the idea about cloak to use for warp-jumpstart-protection is a good answer

The main idea of the impel is NOT to max it out with expanders - its a Deep space Transport, so is designed to tank. I'd put on:
Med Rep t2, Thermal hardener, adaptive nano membrane t2, cap relay, 3x cargo expanders

then, fit a cloak if you've still got the CPU.
If you want to go fast, get the other one (Prorator), and fit it out with 1 WCS, 2 nanofibres, 10 MWD and then whatever - cap recharger, ECM burst, and a cloak in teh highslots. They'll need 4 points to scramble you, and you can dance through blockades at incredible speed, and align to warp way faster, than most opposition.
