Sounds like a real horrible way to collect tears would be if you're a disgruntled ex-customer
1) get test account
2) watch the char bazar for recent sales
3) after it appears to be sold post it on ebay a for sale & petition as RMT
Or are there any safe guards against the above?

i think with just a little bit of searching before a ban is put in place could save real problems from victims like me.
its recorded that i paid isk, i can provide expired codes and recipts for my GTC Codes, why it takes so long for someone to remove the ban i have no idea, if it takes 3 to 4 weeks of time to do this and the ban is lifted, do i get my time refunded? or do i have to suck it up and just carry on paying, because frankly right now im in the position where im considering quitting, my work times dont allow me to be fully active on the game anyway.
Dont get me wrong i love eve, but i have a real issue with a company who shafts the user for an over zealous period of time with no scope of feedback and/or refund..
i guess im just going to wait and see..
overall my forgetting my subscription, ive this last month paid over -ú700 for Legitimate gametime codes for PLEX and thus ISK in game to buy this character and set her up in a way that i can enjoy, and that has as of now been ripped away from me.

It's propably safer for everyone concerned. It freezes the situation and makes sure any harm/shady shanigans is halted. This will limit any harm taking place and makes the investigation a lot easier, since the situation isn't constantly changing. Any inconvenience and lost subscription time dealt to the innocent can always be reimbursed later. |

yeah i guess so, but there should be a team of people in place for this sort of thing, not just general support GM's more of a fraud squad so we dont have to stay in limbo for 3 weeks give or take depending on load.. |

That's the problem, afaik, the very experienced GMs are taking care of the cases. It's just most likely that these cases take a lot of time and there just aren't enough of these very experienced GMs. |

The point is it should never get to this point if CCP implemented structured character bazaar.
This can be stopped by putting place a system where if you wish to sell a character must be vetting by CCP first, if it passes then it can be sold. This way it stops this kind of thing happening. |

From my experience with CCP police... I mean "support" - you'll lose a lot of time (which is money). And nerves - which are priceless. And probably the toon as well (because you cannot prove you didn't pay real money for it/her/him).
While losing time ("money") is unavoidable - try to minimize "nerves" part by accepting reality in which your new toon and account may/will be lost. |
