Yet another reason why these forums need a search function!
To answer your question, you need to start a vote to create shares (using the CEO). This is under the "Politics" tab of the corporation menu.
Once the vote has passed and has been voted on by current shareholders (default is 24 hours), go to the "Sanctionable Actions" tab of the corporation menu and right click on the vote to create shares.

Just like with a real corporation, it depends. What do your shareholders (corp members) demand? Are they ok with the CEO having complete control over votes or not? Can you imagine a situation where the shareholders might want to oust the CEO?
And in that case, do you really need more than 1-3 shares each?
I'd say probably not. It's usually enough just to divide the original shares that you have between those that are in power (CEO, directors, officers), at least to begin with.
Issuing more shares might only be needed when you get more members. ------------------------------------------- Sometimes, I wake up but keep on dreaming. |

Edited by: Nebba Kenezzer on 23/09/2005 07:03:25 There's no harm in creating more shares.
Just keep in mind that the more shares you buy, the less dividends gets paid out per share.
A fair amount of people use the dividends feature. The way it is set up requires one bulk payment be made to all shares. So if you have a million shares and want to pay a dividend of 1,000 ISK for each share, it'd cost a billion ISK.
There's no good reason to have a crap load of shares. Ten or so thousand is ample usually.

Just also remember that when shares are handed out, any players leaving corp take the shares with them, so will continue to get share based dividends after departure. | Join eve-webring.com to promote your site. |
