I am sure this has been suggested at some point, but without a search feature on these forums, I simply didn't have time to browse thru 443 pages of posts to find out if it was.
Well, we all have experienced some delays in skill training time for many reasons... from server downtime to just plain old forgetting to change as/before a skill completes. So, I would like to see some sort of skill training queue be made available. Now this would of course have to be limited in use to prevent "AFK" powerleveling, so I propose a few restrictions:
1. Limit the queue to up to 3 skills, or at least 1 if there are still powerleveling issues. Skill queue will allow you to select any available skill to start upon completion of the current skill, and that skill must have all prerequisites met or it will go to the next skill in queue.
2. If number one is too lenient, then maybe only allow subsequent skills that are in the same category in the queue. This would work well for the Learning skills or the Spaceship Command skills the most, but any category could benefit from this restricted queue. I don't know if this will make a big difference in functionality, but it would be a bit more PL proof.
3. If number 1 or 2 are both still too lenient, then at least give an option of continuing the current skill upon completion to the next level. This would be a very fair and a minimal option to prevent all the problems and complaints about skill time lost due to server maintenance, or client computer/internet connection problems, etc.
I know that part of the attaction to Eve is the 24/7 skill training that is available (if all things are perfect). I just think that some sort of skill queue, even if very minimal, would solidify this feature and make it just a lil easier to manage. Again, I don't think it should be an exploitable powerlevel device and perhaps even a time restriction could be imposed on the queue length. (5 days max perhaps?) But it just bugs me when I start an agent mission and focus on the combat only to completely forget that 15 minute skill completed about 1/4 the way through...and then 30 minutes or so of training time have been lost.
Any ideas on how to improve this idea, or any reasons why it positively should/can not be done, please reply. I do apologize if this has been brought up before and please excuse my ignorance as I think I have proposed a pretty decent idea that many will like. Comments for or against are both welcome though.

I second this idea. Queue up 3 or let the skill roll over to the next higher level till you complete level V.
If your objective is to have people log in more often to change skills then let us know (or other reason).

There have been plenty of threads about it before and CCPs position has been a solid 'no' to skill queueing or a website to change skills out of game.
I'm not sure if they have ever given a reason for this but you can speculate that it's to ensure people log in and play the game. Another reason could be so people can't sign up for many accounts, set them training for the next couple months and sell them on ebay or whichever once they're done.

I have mentioned this on another thread.
One takes 2 months to skill the Learning skill to a decent level, to squeeze out every minute of skill time, and then a power outage or some other technical reason impedes you to change your skill and all your learning skill efforts are negated.
The other day my ISP went dead, I was online expecting to set a skill in 10Min. And my Internet line went dead. 10Min before I was supposed to change skill. Then one asks himself why did one bother to skill the $%$#@ Learning skills in the first place.
I suggest a queue of at least 1 additional Skill. 1 is already enough.

As Ante said CCP have said a very large NO to skill queing, however i read in another thread that they are toying with a skill that lets you train more than one skill at the same time, albeit at like 1/8th the speed
