Hello,
I've been buying escalations from my alliance 7/10's and up. I've done 11 9/10's in a row and I've figured out that I can clap the station in phase 3 with out killing any of the spawns. Since I've figured this out I've been getting nothing but 22nd overseers effects as drops no other loot. Have I just been getting seriously unlucky or is not killing the spawn affecting my drops?
Is there a way to tell what will drop from the stations before I kill it? |

You've been getting unlucky. I did the same one (Fleet Staging Point 3) and got a hardner (A-Type but not a great one) and the OPE. Last week nothing but OPE, week before I got some actually good loot (hardeners and a large repper).
I does suck that NULL SEC high end DEDs may times don't drop anything but an OPE for all that work (and the 9/10, which used to be an unrated plex converted to a DED) while making you go multiple jumps all over creation just for a chance.
On a side note, I had a fleet staging point 3 take me into a low sec system last week. I've had escalations from low to null, but never the other way around. |

To be honest, I find the current mechanics of random nature drops generally sucky and skewed towards it all not being very rewarding in comparison to the effort required, especially in lowsec which is even riskier then null (sov null that is). I mean I've probably done 20-ish deds, unrated sites and their escalations in past few weeks and in totall racked about 600mil in loot. Now someone might think that this is good nubmbers, but honestly having an average of 30mil drop per site ain't all that brilliant and to find 20 combat explo sites you have to spend a lot of time scanning systems and then doing the sites, often in sub-optimal (cloaky) fits, watching out for hostiles in local and d-scan.
I'm not whining on the forums much, at least yet, as I do hope some of this changes with odyssey fixes. When comparing lowsec to hisec, and to think that I could just storm through constellations per day with practically no risk - compared to what goes in less secure space, I think that a guaranteed drop (with random nature of what drops) would be much more fair to people who are willing to risk their stuff and move out of hisec. Two more days and we'll all be smarter I guess. |

I got the feeling if i fight in a DED and some player ships explodes, the plex will allways drop something good :D
But that's probably only by accident. German blog about smallscale lowsec pvp: http://friendsofharassment.wordpress.com |

You can scan the structure and see what is in it. You can actually do it to any overseer or command rats. It will show all originals on blueprints which is of course not right but you can still see whats in it b4 wasting time killing the structure.. |

No you can't. Works on overseer ships but not on overseer structures. |

lol I always thought that (and hoped that), but its not true by the way, I lost a navy domi in a 10/10 when my buddy (in a guardian) lost connection. Went back, finished the plex, got overseers affects and nothing else.
Much cursing of CCP was heard that night. |
