So-
If a person has at least frigate level 2 for every race, and battle cruisers to 4, and a single race's cruiser skill at 3:
The question is, does it make sense to get the racial cruiser skills up to 3 as well before the change in the skills? This would end up with 4 racial battlecruiser skilsl at 4 after the change.
Total cost: ~1.2mil sp?
I have a bunch of unallocated skill points from the refunded learning skills, and it would cost maybe a third of them to get this done. Is this a good use of resources, or would more experienced players think that it makes more sense to focus along one branch?
Thanks! |

To get the most benefit from the changes, you need:
All Racial Frigates IV Destroyers V All Racial Cruisers III BattleCruisers V
Get training. Plus +ša change, plus c'est la m+Žme chose |

I think it depends on your long term goals. Getting all of them to 4 would save you some time in the long run but if you A) Don't really like flying BCs or B) want to stay pure to one race, then you would be using up your canned SP and a month+ of training time for skills you might not use.
If there is a better than decent chance you will want those skills long term then you should put your canned SP and your training time from now until June 4th into getting the skills the guys above me posted. |

I've trained all of my toons for racial Frigate 4, Dessies 4, Cruisers 4, and BC 4; next hop for them will be Dessies 5, Frigates 5, then maybe Cruisers 5. Last 30 days on top dawg for each account is BC 5. Getting all those to four is pretty dang quick. "Blow it all on Quafe and strippers." --- Sorlac |

I definitely appreciate the device. I guess I'll take a look at it this evening and see how I want to do this!
Thanks all |

Every time someone asks this question, CCP should permanently stamp 'dumbass' on the forhead of their avatar. Seriously, read the damn dev blogs. |

Now, this is really unnecessary. I've read the blogs, as you can tell my actually mentioning skill levels etc. What I was asking is if experienced players think that it MAKES SENSE.
Jack, EVE Online has a great community. Don't ruin it. Please. I just came back to EVE Online after being away for >6 years. I'm very happy to be back, but seeing a response like this just kills me. |

I have a few questions in relation to this topic .
Yes Ive read the Dev Blog http://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/the-great-skill-change-of-blessed-2013/
It is unclear to me what will happen with the destroyer skills with the addition of the racial destroyers, This became unclear after reading
................
If, for some odd reason, you have Destroyers and/or Battlecruisers skills, but have no Racial Frigate/Cruiser 3 at all, then the skill points will be moved in the free allocation pool when the old skills are removed
.................
As iam awear of is in its current state its impossible to train any destroyer skill without have atleast 1 current racial frigate to level 3 ,
Now for my question.
Ive read
..............
If you are halfway between Destroyers 3 and 4 when the change hits, your progress will be properly copied to all the racial Destroyer skills you are eligible for.
..............
Now does this mean if I only have minmatar frigate 3 and only 1 level in destroyers that it either ....
# 1 . Will be taken out of my skill sheet and be reimbursed .... or #2 . Be copied only over to the racial destroyer skill iam eligable for ( Minmatar Destroyer ) at its current level 1
The reason I ask is because i'll like to keep a clean skill sheet , I have no intrest in any of the other racial skills given to me just because I have a skill trained . If i want the skill ill inject it myself . That said I could use a Thrasher about now
Kind regards Rigs |

As iam awear of is in its current state its impossible to train any destroyer skill without have atleast 1 current racial frigate to level 3 , The only requirement for training Destroyers or Battlecruisers is Spaceship Command, so it's possible to have them trained without any Frigates or Cruisers at any particular level. It's an edge case, but it's possible, and that's what that comment was directed at.

Kind regards Rigs The piece you quoted applies to the case where you have trained Destroyers/Battlecruisers only partway to the next level. What they're saying is that in that case, that partial level should be properly copied to all of the racial Dessy/BC skills you're eligible for.
In your case, you'll still get Minmatar Destroyer 1 only.
