So. . . 1v1s: do you guys ask for them? Do you honor them? Am I an idiot for expecting someone to? Perhaps. . .
So I fly down to Esotaria looking for some trouble. I get into a busy SA system and fly around looking for something to shoot. . . just trying to get a fight in before downtime. One SA pilot in a crusader chases me around for a bit and I challenge him to a 1v1:

He shows up in a succubus, weÆre at 60km or so, we start closing, and just before we get the scramblers on each other, his friends show up. (Geddon, Apoc, Nemesis, etc.)
I just donÆt understand this sort of thing. We could have had a cool fight, but instead, they go for the gank. Ah well, I hope they enjoyed it.
Is it the culture of SA that allows this sort of thing (from one of their CEOs no less!)? I leave it for you to decide. They obviously wont get any more 1v1s from me or anyone I know, and that, I submit, is a loss for both parties. |

The sad this in absolutly nothing will come of this thread. Nobody will be punished, nobody will think any less of SA, nothing. Its a shame.

if its true then shame on them dishonouring a 1v1 is the lowest thing which can be done...but as ive not seen or heard of you before, you have no alliance/crop under your name, no sig or anything else to suggest otherwise you could just be another flamming alt trying to discredit sa

Fair enough.
I'm a former FIX CEO, in a transitional state right now, hence no siggie or corp. You could talk to almost anyone there and they would verify my identity. |

sad to hear about this heraklitus,...well i have to admit that everytime i asked for a 1v1 down in Stain region it has been honoured so far / no smack/ no bad feeling s after it.
maybe you just had bad luck 
after all this is "just" a game, still it¦s a shame to see that people don¦t stay firm to their word 
PS to dantes : he ain¦t no alt, i¦ve been flying with this guy for over 1 year in FIX...

1. No, it's not ok to dishonour a 1vs1. But it happens every day, I don't care anymore.
2. By the fact that you guys ALWAYS has a n00b corp member in a covert ops cloaked in local and never ever fight without that one, I'd say that you guys both lie and cheat.
3. It's not only about stabs. I attacked one of your ravens. 30 seconds later there was another raven (who had not been in local) firing on me. Both of your ravens had 5 stabs fitted (at least both managed to warp when I scrambled them with strength 4) and 3-4 sensor dampeners each fitted. Your corp is the lowest of all. And no ammount of your forum *****ing can change that fact.

yeah i checked his bio after DT, but with nothing to identify him it is a natural assumption to make considering i have not been flying with him for a year nor have i seen him before this post...consideing the amounf ot se alts we had attacking SA during the past 2 weeks...it was a natural assumption no?
But as ive said, if this is indeed true it is a very low thing to do, a act i condem totaly as dishonouring a 1v1 shows your word is worth nothing..and as such your worth nothing. i would say the same about any one who did this, though i didnt post it, it was the opinion i had from the recent KIA event, and it will not change just because my own alliance is involved. and i assure you that this is most definatly the exception and not the rule within SA.

Always gang your 1 vs 1 partner and meet at a safespot. Thats pretty much the only way to get a fair fight.

Dont do 1v1 most of those i have encountered cheats. however there is also a few peeps who honor a good 1v1 they are just hard to find

Yeah 1v1s aren't too popular these days... best bets to go to a separate system to do the 1v1 if you do manage to get some one to agree to one... Personally I'll agree to one if I know the person hasn't had a chance to refit specifically for me(only fair, I haven't refitted for them) and that I think I have a chance in hell of winning, i.e. I like long odds fights and being the underdog, but a hopeless fight isn't very fun, and we all play for fun, right?

Nice guy and it is indeed a shame that happened to you, as in all alliances there are always people who let the side down and do stuff like this. Its not worth saying the whole of SA is like this as it wouldnt be true but a few bad apples....you get to know who's who, eventually, and the real SA fighters are as good as they get
