What are the best cruiser size guns?
I mean the pirate loot ones. The good stuff :)

Hybrid - 250mm Prototype I Gauss Gun
Energy - Heavy Modulated Energy Beam I
Projectile - 650mm Medium 'Scout' Artillery I (or something like it). |

Store bought
Pirate loot version
250mm Railgun
250mm Prototype
650mm Artillery Cannon
650mm Scout AC
Heavy Beam
Heavy Modulated Beam
For close range I suggest
425mm Autocannon or pirate loot version (425mm scout)
Heavy Pulse laser or pirate version (Heavy modulated pulse)
Heavy Electron/Ion/Neutron blasters or pirate version (Anode versions)
Heavy Neutron for sheer damage, but it is expensive. Heavy Electron is more affordable, lighter on the cap, and fires more often, preferable for people who prefer a higher rate of fire.
Generally for close range combat, especially against faster moving enemies I prefer having a higher rate of fire.

So which ones of the pirate guns are the best for long range combat? I use 250 prototypes at the moment, and they are very good imho. Delivers 100+ damage per gun within optimal range which is 24000 meters with uranium ammo for me (in moa).

I'm at Med. Hybrid 3, S.S. 3, I get 45-55 regular hits, 75-90 "good" hits (whatever they're called), about 150-200 wrecking. No MFS's btw, using Uranium ammo.
