I thought about one thing: Why can't you talk to agents from anywhere but their own station?
It doesn't make much sense from an RP point of view, everyone uses FTL communications for everything. It doesn't make much sense from a balance point of view or whatever, because for most courier missions you need to go to or from the agent's own station anyway, and by far most kill missions are in a 3 jump radius around the agent.
You don't don't gain much if anything in rewards/time from being able to talk to agents from anywhere, but you wouldn't have to fly to the agent and dock anytime you want to talk to him. It's just so plain annoying to fly to your agent from system x in his vicinity, just to be sent back to system x to do y.
Could we please talk to agents from anywhere?

because he's giving you top secret information about missions, and would rather give them to you face to face than risk a breach of security. |

Nothing to reply that.
But...
How does Empires fleet get orders before a battle ?
Do they send a courrier shuttle to get the envelope filed with orders ?...
For secrets information there is encryption.
Having to dock for talking with agent is realy painfull, especialy when you made all the 8 jumps trip with you indus and realise you didn't confirmed the mission :(
A few time ago you where able to call back your agent and take the mission without re make the trip.

A compromise would work. For sensitive missions, the agent will request that you visit him in person. For delivering garbage to an artist who makes junk-sculptures, I think he could give the mission over coms in space.
