Edited by: Calamaster on 30/07/2003 22:17:25 Edited by: Calamaster on 30/07/2003 22:13:15 i am very displeased to find out that the Eve Guide book that costs me ś12 ( prices may vary)
is pratically a load of bull. the ship database is tottally wrong! i couldnt believe it! omen does not have a missile launcher slot! turret slots are messed. i paid for a book that ha taught me nothing, and frankly. ccp dissapoint me.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think CCP as anything to do with the guide book. The manual that came with the game is out of date. Trips "Plug in, sit down, freak out!" |

Edited by: Calamaster on 30/07/2003 22:33:13 Edited by: Calamaster on 30/07/2003 22:32:02 its not the manual. its a strategy guide, u buy it seperate, and it cant be out of date, cause amarr dont tend to use missile slots, and the omen never has had a missile slot. either has other ships its mentioned.
since when did executioner have a missile slot?
or the punisher.
i cud go on.
it says omen has 5 turret slots aswell, wrong.
and a maller. 4 launcher slots? pfffft.
also in 2 of the ship databases. they mtched up the wrong pictures!

the strategy guide is a waste of time and was out of date before it hit the shelves.
its not necessarily ccp thats at fault it is possibly prima. however they may have got pre-production information that has changed since and they/ccp have not updated/been informed of changes.
if you bought it from game they may refund it for you, but it doesnt come under normal return policy, but worth a try.

Yes it is rather unfortunate that Prima descided to compile their guild while the game was still in its late beta stages.. So much of the ship information has changed.. But thats true with all mmorpg's, things are changing all the time and theres no way that they can keep it perfectly up to date..
It does still contain some usefull information for those that made the purchase..

I know that she is a member of the Polaris Corporation that operates inside Jove space, and JovianĘs are particularly hideous, but she is different. I'd return the book.
Luckily, the answer is free, and can be browsed whilst you do something boring in EVE. www.eve-i.com, in combination with these forums, can keep you current not only in the ships explorer and suchlike, but also any new/challending bugs or what have you.
Ppl on the forums tend to be helpful and answer questions, so long as you're not asking for their profitable secret spawn locations or whatever....
