Hi, I was just kinda curious as to just how large the whole i've dug is. When I started this char, I decided I would use 2 chars, one for pvp and one for mining. So I made my char with the attributes 10int, 13 mem, 7 will, 3 perc, and 6 charsima.
Now, at the time I didn't realize that the game would rely soo much on perception and int...training for a new ship is horrific. I'm wondering if I've just screwed myself on training time, or is my proficiency with weapons based upon my skills and my attributes, or just my skills?
If it's just training time I can prolly get some implants and learning skills to ease that burden, but if my ability to do dmg is gimped than I might as well restart. I really wish there was some kind of warning in creation "warning, this setup will result in ungodly training times!" or something like that.
Any info/advice is appreciated

Attributes have NO other effect besides Training Times. So while it may take you longer to train those skills, once you have skilled up your just as effective as anyone else.

No, if you want to pvp with 3 perc then you are gimped.
Hell, training a mining barge relies on perception too.
3 Perc is an absolute worst case scenario. If the character is pretty new then biomass it and start again.
Perc highest, then intel, then willp, mem and finally charisma. (but none massively higher than the others)
3 perc means it takes about 6hours to train frig lvl2. Perc is primary attribute for all ships and gunnery. You NEED it to be at least decent.

I guess I will then. I've been playing for about a month now. Muros is just got to the second mining barge....and it's driven me crazy. I guess in the long run i'll be happier rerolling him.

Just get basic learning skills to 5 and adv learning skills to 4 and difference between starting attributes would not be notisable.
3 attribute - very slow learning, 13 - it's ok. And you will have perseption at 13 after doing your learning skills.
At start you have sum = 39 points making that ~8 average.
So, 5 below average will hurt you befor learning skill, but after learning skills difference would not be that big. Higth memory will let you have high learning skills fast. Skill training time = base time/(primary attribute + 0.5 secondary attribute)

No, 3 starting perc means an "easy" maximum of 13, make that 16 with a +2 implant. Thats simply not good.
Tell you what, to ease the pain, whatever you choose, I'll throw you 2x +2 perception implants. Just drop me an EVE mail to tell me which character to escrow them to

The character stats would be good if you were planning on being a industrialist, but ship skills and gunnery will cause you trouble.
