Hey guys, I just bought eve and installed it... It runs fine, except I get no sound.... Even when I exit the game, I have to restart the computer before I get sound for anything again...
I am running an Audigy 2ZS with the newest drivers... Anyone else having this problem? And is their a fix for it?

Edited by: Bradstone on 08/10/2005 15:23:36 LOL! i have just come on here to report the same problem! I get back sounds, like station sounds and warp, but nothing else, and those sounds are only there when i have volume maxed out!
Does anyone know whats going on?? i have the same sound card, Audigy 2ZS... and as normal the most up-to-date drivers... Its driving me mad!
I have found that if you have ALL sounds off eve then you don't have to reset your computer...

I think I've just found a solution to our problem.
Disable the "Audio Effects" in the EAX Console, and the sound should come back again.
It worked for me. So good luck!

I find if I have EAX effects on and play some music with e.g. Winamp, then I get these problems (though only some sounds are cut out, not all). Opening up EAX console at this point shows an empty drop down box, and things are only fixed by a restart. There isn't much need for the EAX effects in game, but it is a bit of a pain if you're using Advanced EQ while listening to music then start Eve up.
