Space in Eve is technically liquid, it most certainly is not space as we know it in real life, ergo space in Eve can be classified as a sea, because it certainly acts like a large body of water. It's known as a submarine simulator for good reason. You're right though, piracy covers many things, including the activities of the OP as well as those of the lowsec guys. A war hasn't been fought this badly since Olaf the Hairy, High Chief of all the Vikings, accidentally ordered 80,000 battle helmets with the horns on the inside.
