Could someone please confirm the range of sentry guns?
Am I right in thinking that it's the distance you are from the object they are defending which counts like the gate or station? Also does the range vary depending on the security status of the system or is it the same for all?
I realise this has probably been covered countless times before but I looked and couldn't quickly find the answers I'm looking for.

i think its 150km for 1's and 2's and 250 for 3's? and no its range from the gun

150km
Range from the gate. You can be 77km from the gun as long as you are 150km from the gate they wont shoot you.
There are no:
1-Safe spots
2-Ore thieves
3-Corp thieves
Just people that do not understand game mechanics.

Nope 150km from the sentries, billboard, gate and station......if u are within 150km from any of those then u will get shot

Unless something changed in the last patch, its 150km from the object the guns are defending doesnt matter if its I II or III. So the teddybear guy's post is completely right.

Perhaps you do need to attend the Teddybear's course that is currently being offered at the moment. I would attend if I have the ISKs ;/
Anyway, shooting players near gates and shooting NPC haulers near stations are DIFFERENT.

Well ive been 164km from the gate and 149 from a sentry and as soon as i shot some1 i started getting shot so how do u explain that? btw concord billboard was 162 km away from me also

i was not aware that Forkmeh had sed wether he was shooting npc haulers at station and players at gates...he mererly asked what range on sentry guns and i was saying that from what ive seen is 150km away from stargate sentries and the concord billboard :P

I know, I am suggesting Forkmeh to attend a Teddybear's class. Besides, thought the NPC tip might be handy. Not sure whether he is ganking PC or NPC.

Maybe you have sensor lag or a bug?

No it isnt sensor lag or a bug as ive been shot for being within 149km or less in sentry guns range a few times
