History
For two years now Freelancing Corp has remained among the largest, most respected corporations of genuine freelancers in Eve. Living by the simple rules of 'No Piracy, No Scamming, No Thievery ... just Freedom', Freelancers are miners, production tycoons, bounty hunters, traders, corporate sponsored privateers, research and development heads, and explorers, seasoned veterans and fresh faced flight academy graduates. Freelancers come in every flavor, and our methods are just as diverse as our interests.
But the Eve Galaxy remains a dangerous place, piracy and war are forever a threat, and even among peaceful freelancers there remains the need for warriors - determined men and women prepared to fight and die for their friends and allies.
The Lancers were born from this need to defend ourselves from thieves, pirates and unreasoning aggressors - an informal grouping of freelancers looking to test their mettle against the fiercest members of Eve's spacefaring community. And as Freelancing Corp has grown and developed, becoming the progenitor of the alliance 'Confederation of Independant Corporations', so too have the Lancers developed.
Who We Are
Now we, Starlancers, stand as proud members of the CIC, still dedicated to the principles of freedom without piracy, theft or scamming, still ready to spill our blood in battle for the sake of our alliance friends.
We are freelancers by nature - making money in the way we choose, living and travelling where we desire, and forging our own destinies.
We are warriors by necessity, but also by choice - we fight when we're needed, but we take no orders and submit to no authority.
We're small in number, but fierce in our resolve, striving always towards our ideal - Protection with Honour.
Who We're Looking For
Starlancers is open for recruitment and seeking pilots who can live the Freelancing way, but who are also prepared to die for it.
No one will tell you what to do or where to go. We won't choose fights for you, but we will stand with you in the fights you choose.
We're looking for pilots who are honest, willing to learn, willing to fight and to lose ships in doing so, people who are prepared to make the effort to meet up but also prepared to work alone if other corp members aren't online.
You don't need high skills or fancy ships. We're prepared to guide new players in becoming a competent fighter as well as to learn from pilots more skilled or experienced than ourselves. You will have access to equipment and ships from our corp hangars as well as to experience in how best to use them, not just from fellow Starlancers but from the entire alliance.
You will need to have an interest in PvP and be willing to undertake it when necessary, but we won't go looking for trouble so you need to be prepared to make your own living much of the time in a way consistent with CIC's minimal rules.
How to Apply
In the first instance, you should contact and talk with a Starlancers director before submitting an application. You may find us in 'Freelancing' channel (the public chat channel of the Confederation of Independent Corporations). Or else convo or eve-mail one of us: Elwe Singollo, Phoenix Mulderdart, Nuala Reece or Coupe Soleil.

We're mainly Europe based players, but we're looking for people from anywhere who feel that can be a part of our corp. A special request has been made for players in American timezones.

Pilots interested in the combat aspect of Eve should really take a closer look. You be hard pressed to find a more loyal and capable group such as the Lancers.

After an extended period of relative quiet and inactivity we're actively seeking recruits once more. The corp itself is small right now, but with big aspirations, and is part of a large, vibrant and friendly alliance.
As before, we're interested in both new and experienced pilots, Euro and American. Candidates will need to be prepared to get out for group ops, but also comfortable doing their own thing.
We have several offices scattered around Empire, where members will have access to shared ships and equipment (level of access depending, of course, on corp title).
So get in now, while we're growing, and make your mark on what the corporation will become

The Starlancers are a Freelancers' best friend when trouble comes a knocking. They're friendly and honourable pilots who mean business.
Apply now! The Galaxy desperately needs more pilots who live up to the ideals of this amazing cadre.

Security is the priceless product of freedom. Only the strong can be secure, and only in freedom can men produce those material resorces which can secure them from want at home and against aggression from abroad.

If Freedom is for you and you can live by the simple rules of 'No Piracy, No Scamming, No Thievery ... just Freedom
Be willing to get together for the odd op when duty calls. You can find a home with Starlancers. Young or Old we welcome all. Stop by Freelancing chat and see if thier is a lancer in you.

Unacceptable. I've been at work since 10am yesterday, so have my own excuse for not checking the forums, but there'll be floggings and keel-hauling all round for every day we're not on the first 2 pages at least
Except for the Amarr (we all know how much they enjoy a little flogging). Comfy chairs and prodding with a cushion will be the order of the day for them.

Edited by: Nuala Reece on 11/02/2006 02:42:55 Also, if you've been following other threads on the forum, we may be looking into a discreet badger provivision service - what you get up to in you own time and in the privacy of your own pod is no business of ours, but we may be willing to facillitate your pervervsions while yo're with our corp

Greetings Starlancers. My name is Grizzlegore Grimm. I am a 700k skill security level 2 mission runner that has just awoken from an 8 month hibernation. I was just curious if you all used voice comms such as Vent or TS. I look forward to joining your channel this evening when I get home from work.
Thanks for your time.

Cool, we'll keep an eye out for you in Freelancing channel. TS we have and I'd encourage people to use it if they have it, even if only during fighting. But like many things in the freelancing way of doing things, it's not a requirement. Nobody would be kicked from, or stopped from joining, Starlancers just for not having or not wanting to use teamspeak.

Been a member for a bit now and can say that this group of people is incerdible. They help out anyone they can and have lots of fun whenever they can. Very great people to be around and hang out with. I have loved my time with them and look forward to hanging around for a long time.
For you new players out there, the people in this corp never seem to get tired of answering quiestions or lending a helping hand. Has been wonderful!
