Way way waaay too easy to be exploited by griefers. Suicide kestrels in empire. What happens when you hit -2.0? Sell a few local expanders you loot and let the rampage continue.
Also problems setting a standard. How much money is sec gain really worth?
System unbalanced towards new players. Makes sec gain a luxury for rich players. Personally, I think this isn't good.
I think the first reason is reason enough anyway. |

sueside kestrel is not enough to kill hauler fast, you need like 5, and not every1 fly with local huls and they are most o the time destroyed...... bad argument imo

I really hope it doesntget put back in, pirates are supposed to have a low sec status, thats the whole point of it, people need to have a chance of killing them. ------------------------------------------------- Defend Amarr space, join the Auctoritan Syndicate today |

If you are a pie-rat, and have say -10, how much of an effect does training the Fast Talk skill have on your security status?
I wouldn't like to see the ability to buy sec status, but maybe additional skills to the current fast talk. Perhaps a lawyer skill that reduces the amount of sec status lost or a Parole skill that increases the amount of status gained from killing NPC (as long as your sec status is negative)
Buying status is a bad idea. If it was introduced the next thing people would want is buying status with agents because it takes too long running level 1,2 & 3 to get a level 4. |

*whispers to Kaleeb* You have to stop killing people while you train it
I think that -10 is just the lowest security status that will display, and that there is a behind the secenes status that keeps going down the more you kill. Which is why Fast Talk appears to not work as you will only have gone from -20 to say -15. |

Quit whining, go read older posts firsts, oh and just so you dont have to... go ***** complexes you can boost your sec in a few days. Yes thats right! 0.8% boosts (better than the ones that 750k pirates did at one stage.)

Since (from my own recent experience) it appears to have been decided that suicide attacks in empire are a form of griefing and not permited, why shoudnt we be once again able to pay for sec increases, since it will therefore not be exploited in this way.

Also remember that the lower you sec status the more npc ing you must to get a similar rise in sec stat. So whilst some one chaining a belt for 4 hours with a -2.4 sec status may gain 0.4%, a person with a -10 sec status will gain noweher near this 0.4%.

I think it works the other way round, -10 gets more than someone with -2.4 for example... it was always easier to get up to -3 than it was to -2 or -1 :S -----------------------

I went from -7 security status to -4.5 before the cold war patch, then from -4.5 to -1.8 and still going up.
It's even faster then before to raise our security status if we know what to do.
EvE-Mail me in-game for more info.

You should all be AIMING for -10.

TBH I think bringing this back into the game wouldnt be SUCH a bad idea. I think the 'do the crime, do the time' attitude as it is now (after cold war patch) is a bit unfair and far too time consuming for those who dont want the -10 (I <3 mine atm ). A 'do the crime, pay the fine' sceme like the one there used to be is a nice alternative that carebears should embrace cause it is hard on the pocket whereas if you npc ofc your profiting from it cash wise too.
