You haven't posted anything that's actually refuted points I've made, just emphatic and frankly rather immature imprecations upon my own maturity. You've failed to demonstrate how what you've posted is either true or relevant. Andreus Anthony LeHane Ixiris CEO, Mixed Metaphor

You do the same thing all the time. I lost count of how many times you tried in vain to refute things I said without backing them up or gave a half asses answer. |

For the sake all IGS threads which lately to have to tolerate our seemingly never ending verbal duels I'm not going to link them all together here of all places hopelessly derailing this one and leaving nothing but smoldering wreckage.
Though perhaps it is high time you and I had a public debate of some kind. Lord knows I'm sure the people who frequent these channels think we need to get it out of our system. |

So, this "oppression" by the Federal bureaucratic machine onto the Syndicate. Who even controls the Federal bureaucratic machine? Oh, yeah, a lot of ethnic Intakis.
Intaki secessionits that peddle the Syndicate as the prime example of what Intaki independence can produce are exactly the sort of types that encourage racial stereotyping for all Intakis being connected to the underworld in some form or another.
All the same, it really is amusing that a corrupt coalition of city-states that trades with Serpentis drug traffickers and Angel slavers, headed by a dictator, is the benchmark for a free Intaki state.
Try again. I thought the Intaki homeworld is the benchmark of the Intaki state? The only Federation presence there is Army.

Seriphyn Inhonores wrote:So, this "oppression"... Yes General, oppression.
Oppression is was exiled the 5000 Intaki and it was oppression that denied them access to planetary settlement.
It's because of the failure of those in the halls of power in Villore that such oppressive policies continue to exist, extending beyond the Federations borders to deny the stability offered by planetary colonisation from the citizens of the Syndicate of today.
Seriphyn Inhonores wrote:Who even controls the Federal bureaucratic machine? Oh, yeah, a lot of ethnic Intakis. It almost sounds like you're reading from the same old well used prompt cards when you answer your own rhetorical question in an attempt to use this arguement. Let's address it directly.
Yes. The Federal bureaucracy is predominantly the employ of Federation citizens who can point to Intaki heritage. The Intaki temperament is well suited to diplomacy and so it is only natural that they should perform well in this field. Im unaware of this fact ever being denied by those of us who wish to secede from the Federation so it's curious as to why it's raised. We might as well discuss how most Holders in the Empire happen to be Amarr. It's irrelevant to the discussion. Which lines of heritage happen to dominate the Federal bureaucracy or not does not change the affect it's policies have on Placid, or Syndicate in this case, and there are those of us willing to challenge them.
It's also an arguement of convenience. Those in support of the Federation are all too keen to promote it's melting pot of cultures and peoples, keen to push the view that we are all "Gallente" one moment, but as soon as someone raises a concern or criticises the Federation for one reason or another we're suddenly "Intaki" again.
The fact that millions of citizens throughout the Federation, from the Crux constellation in Essence, across Sinq Laison and Verge Vendor are content with the status quo has not, does not and will not affect the opinion of those of us who campaign for an independent Intaki (the solar system in Placid, not the entire Intaki people).
It's clear that despite opposing us for as long as they have it's clear some people have a poor understanding of what it is Secessionists are advocating.
Seriphyn Inhonores wrote:Intaki secessionits that peddle the Syndicate as the prime example of what Intaki independence can produce... And this rather proves my point.
We are not claiming the Syndicate to be the prime example of what Intaki independence can produce. We do not claim it to be the epitome of what Intaki can become. We do not wish to expand the Syndicate's borders by default to include Placid.
Instead we recognise the efforts of our exiled cousins and what they have achieved. A stable society that has ensured their survival despite the barriers set in place by the Federation. A solid free market economy that despite the nature of some goods traded, feeds the millions of mouths that depend upon it. An established and functioning government style that reflects the Intaki value of autonomy through the independence of each Syndicate station.
Supporters of the Federation may recognise faults within their own system, yet they remain loyal and may work to improve it failings where they can. This is to be lauded. The same no doubt is the case across the other Empires of New Eden. How curious then that Intaki who recognise the faults of the Syndicate, yet find some value in it's mechanics are to be criticised and condemned as despots, criminals and pirates all. And yet you often take an proactive if not aggressive stance when bantering on the IGS. One would think then you have not qualms picking your targets of witty repartee, therefore you really shouldn't be all that surprised regardless of skill when they spin round on you.

And again I point out that claims of courage and conviction coming from almost any Amarrian - you in particular - ring so hollow that you could fit half the Domain fleet in them. Andreus Anthony LeHane Ixiris CEO, Mixed Metaphor

Loosely headed by a corrupt, unscrupulous dictator, as I mentioned. All of these stations, in addition, indirectly allow and/or support the narcotics black market and slavery.
No, this doesn't sound like Intaki values to me. You might also be aware that autonomy is as much a Gallente virtue as it is Intaki (Solitude is a prime example of this), and for that reason, it is why the Intaki have slotted into the Federation easier than any other member.
When the Intaki solar system joined the Federation, you lot wanted to retain a lot of autonomy. So, what did Villore do? They kept Federal presence to a bare minimum. Then CONCORD appeared, and it was rated a 0.1 system. It is the responsibility of the Intaki Assembly to franchise out security. The Jin-Mei did it, and Lirsautton is highsec. The powers of Assembly governments are clearly stated in the Charter and Constitution. Mordu's Legion is there now, true, but it took the threat of Caldari invasion for you lot to get your act together.
And if the Federation did work to protect Intaki? You'd all complain about Gallente meddling and interference. It's a slippery-slope that you've brought upon yourself. |

Don't you find it curious that the State advanced through Placid and into Verge Vendor, relentlessly and successfully taking system after system only to stop at the borders of the Intaki Syndicate in each system the border presented itself? In Orvolle, in Vestouve and closer to Intaki in Harroule they respected the Syndicate's border and didn't go any further.
No, the State's invasion of Placid, and Intaki in particular is because it is Federation space, regardless of how much autonomy exists between Assembly and Senate.
Were Intaki and her colonies to be fully independent of the Federation, free to explore more positive diplomatic relations with our exiled cousins than tolerated by the Federation at present, I doubt the State would have spared Viriette a second glance just as was the case with the Intaki Syndicate. You confuse CONCORD with an organisation with infinite resources that can be everywhere at all times. Further more the Syndicate is politically neutral and offers as much of it's support openly to criminal elements as it does the Empires, it's outside of CONCORD's jurisdiction and the policies of the DED would directly clash with the Syndicate's. |
