How does this set up sound for using a Thorax for purely mining purposes?
High: 5 X Miner II
Med: X-5 Webby; Small Remote Armour Rep; 10MN AB II or YT-8 MWD
Low: 5 X Co-Processor I
Drones: Infiltrators & Hammerheads (mix)
Been using this set up in 0.7 space and seems to be working well.
Any comments or improvements would be appreciated.

It doesnt work.
Remote Armor Repair needs high slot...or do you mean a simple small armor repair module which needs low slot? But then you lose one co-processor and cant use other modules.

As said above, that won't work.
I used to mine with a thorax a long time ago, this is what i used:
hi 5x miner2s
med 10mn mwd, survey scanner, sensor booster
low however many CPUs you need
and use your drones of course. i used to mine in a 0.5 with this setup.

My bad  . Was under the impression that Remote Repairers used medium slots (you just can't tell from the item database).
Thanks for pointing that out.
Looks like that set up has bitten the dust. I will have to rely on starbases to repair any damage to my drones for the time being.

you could just fit a repper when your outside station to repair your drones to save isk

I mine in a Rax.
4 x Miner II
1 x small remote armour repairer
1 x 10mn MWD
1 x WCS
2 x Basic expanders
2 x Co-Pro II
also have a Medium hull repairer offline, just in case I need the repair.
Oh, and 8 Wasps orbiting.
Does about 1000 m of Omber every 3 mins, and is safe enough that I'm playing while typing, mining in 0.7

Bah get an Osprey and some mining skillz and you can out-mine that rax easy. Defend her in .5 alone too. But if you're going to mine in a Rax, the setups mentioned above are prolly the best, though I was never much of a fan of roid scanners

Whatever in the mid slots, I have a scanner and 100mw AB (mostly for amusement as I use Instas)
Lows full with Co-Pro I's
Drone Bay :
Mix of 6 Combat Drones (small, med and heavy)
4 X Mining Drone 1 (hope to replace with IIs)
I've mined Jaspet in 0.4 with this setup for hours on end, yeah I may lose the very occasional drone but the output from the extra mining laser more than offsets the cost, and reapiring a few slightly damaged drones has yet to cost me more than 2k.
The only problem with this setup is it's slightly labour intensive as no cargo bays, so a lot of ore moving, I am still working on the skills/equipment to cut down the CPU slots required and therefore up the cargo space.
