I have been wondering what the normal low slot tanking layout is for an ishtar?
I have watched quite a few eve movies and seen that they have: 1x med rep II 1x hardener (active) and then the rest of the slots are passive modules
This is for a sucking ishtar btw, and i have seen it on some rail/blaster ones too.
At the moment i have 1x med rep II and 4x hardeners (active)
Anyone got any ideas?

NPC tank: 1x large cap battery (named) 4x cap rechargers (named) 2x Medium Armor rep 2 3x Active hardeners This thing can take on commodore/dual elders and higher npc wise. Then again - its not a viable pvp setup at all.
Not going to work very well for pvp - but its advisible to do a lot of ratting with it so you can rattle off every single drone bug in 15 seconds flat.

Thanks, but im looking for a PvP tank version.
The ones i've seen seem to be very fast and have an awesome tanking ability with minimal active hardeners.

you should be able to fit 2 tech 2 armor rep's and 2 hardener's with 1 low slot to toy with fit some NOS in highs and you should be able to run both rep's forever if you get into nos range (you should be able to ishtar is decently fast)though this leaves little cpu and grid left for much in the med's but again if your pvping you should pick your fights and someone hitting you at 40 km isnt someone you want to fight in an ishtar. Youll just have to toy with setups tbh ishtar can do so many things that if you have 30 different ishtar pilots telling you there setups few will be the same (though they might go on same principles something will be different)

How many drones can you squeeze into one of those. Ive been toying with the idea of getting one alongside my enyo.

Dont think you really need that much hardeners, especially as they drain a good amount of cap when activated. Id rather try to fit a 800mm plate and a cap power relay. You dont need much PG for your weapons, as your main offence are your drones - so i guess there might be enough PG left for being able to fit the plate.

with hac 5 you can fit 20 heavies in your hold but you will only be able to use a max of 15. also fitting plates on this ship is hard mainly due to having below average powergrid and cpu. so fitting plates is really difficult you "can" fit a 1600 plate on but that takes about 75 % of your powergrid so you wont be able to fit speed mod and rep on without some RCU's

I was thinking about fitting:
2x med rep II's 1x hardener 1x plate (800mm?) 1x RCU/PDU etc
Maybe use a MWD in the med slots instead of an AB.
Anyone know if that would work?
