I'm not talking about network lag, I'm talking about computer/performance lag. My system is a 3.2 GHz (HT disabled because it screws stuff up) Radeon 9600 256MB version, SB Audigy ZS, and 1 gig of ram. A few months ago when I used to play EvE I had a constant high FPS even in huge battles. Now I warp into deadspace and it starts lagging. Does this have something to do with me?

EVE is strange.. i invested ALOT of money in a new PC and got the best u could buy... my average FPS is about 110 , it can be up to 150 .. i get tons of lag while warping in to gates and other things quite often... it doesnt matter how good your PC is or how fast ur connection is.. EVE shall always be laggy.

Thats funny... recently ive noticed that all trace of lag has lifted. =============================================== You may have won this match, but I bet I have better standardized test scores! |

It's the fricking clouds of dust, in deadspaces. They drop my framerates from 40 to 15. -- bumcheekcity |

Basically it was said eve got more popular than ccp planned for st they need some extra server stuff. Since them ccp has orderd some servers from IBM and now we are waiting for them to arrive tho they had been delayed by recent events in america involving hurricanes

I've actually been getting alot less lag recently around empire and only a bit every so often out in 0.0 space.
Don't always assume the lag is due to your computer or the servers. It can just as easily be caused by somthing along the route.

winter is aproaching, the gerbils that run in the wheels are wanting to hybernate, so CCP's generaters are slowing down while they bring in fresh gerbils from the southern hemisphere (gerbils in the south are waking up now)...once all the gerbils in the wheels are replaced, CCP should be back in order... the answer is...42. |
