Hello all, please excuse my laziness in not taking the time to trawl this forum for these probably very easy answers.
I left Eve about 6/8 months ago but am back now. I just wanted to know if Lv4's are still ok for the lone gunman?

non deadspace ones can - though most of em need co op = u can still do most level 4 manufacturing missions solo though

Of course you can, i solo any lvl 4 mission "security , command"
But i tend to take it easy with the drones missions, i have some bad experiences from em so i evolved a fobia ;)

Yeah I just started doing lvl4s a couple of days ago and im allready soloing most of em. Have turned down extravaganza, infiltrated outposts and vengence...but i might try them some time.
Normal space mission are very easy not a chance of getting killed. But some of the deadspace ones is indead tricky but very doable.

Yes they can be done solo, with the exception of the angel stravaganza and the silence the informant BUT this is if you have enough experience with them. I suggest you to use sniping setups and have an ally close if the things go mad and need extra help

Started doing lvl 4's solo this weekend. I have done 'duo of death' and 'vengence' solo. It wasnt easy and had to warp out and come back in several times but did finish them. Not sure if i would do angel extra by myself or the drone missions. Did those with a corps mate.

Just finished the first half of Rogue Drone, I am just glad they do not scrambled as they are really nasty under 10km.
Using a Megathon with Rail blast then at 60km and let the drones kill the ones that get through.
My feeling is I am better to mine to make real isk :D

I can do *any* lvl 4 with a megathron. However...I avoid the Angel Extravaganza simply because it's too much hard work most of the time. I've never done the bonus gate on it either.
For others...you need to learn each mission and know what to expect, especially on the multi stage missions where you get jumped after using an Accel gate. For certain missions where you get dumped right in the middile of the action, you need to be ready to tank a lot of damage, and be fitted with short range weapons. For everything else, I use 425mm rails on my Megathron. The biggest tank I ever fit is 1x med and 1x large t2 repairs, and 4 hardeners. That will handle any of the missions long enough for you to kill a few and then warp out, generally. Of course, using the correct hardeners for the type of rats you're killing is key...

some level 4 missions can be done ina shuttle- frig - destroyer or a cruiser or industrial what are they - manufactring missions

with around 8m skill points in ship, gunnery and engineering you can solo all the lvl 4 missions. However, it is hardly worth the time doing it. You make more money from doing lvl 3 in a HAC.
